NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal reveals only time he wished to be “little bit smaller” following hilarious performance in Pepsi commercial

It’s hard to picture Shaq without his imposing personal presence. While his charming personality has many facets, his 7’1″ height certainly contributes a lot. Fans on the internet particularly enjoy seeing Shaquille O’Neal engage in everyday activities with his towering 7’1″ height.

In a fresh Pepsi commercial, Shaq candidly aired his thoughts on his towering height. The newly unveiled campaign delves into the Big Man’s grievances linked to his stature.

Shaquille O’Neal wished to be little bit smaller

Pepsi has teamed up with Shaquille O’Neal to promote their new product, ‘Pepsi Minis,’ in a recently debuted ad spot featuring a rendition of Skee-Lo’s 1995 classic, “I Wish.” The advertisement, which was released on Nov 20, cleverly utilizes Shaq’s towering height for a series of entertaining sequences.

Skee-Lo makes a cameo appearance after the ad, delivering a revamped version of his song. The updated lyrics humorously portray Shaq expressing a desire to be smaller, similar to the size of Pepsi’s new cans.

Skee-Lo’s verses include lines like, “I wish I was a little bit smaller, a mini Shaq baller, I wouldn’t have to yell when I talk to a toddler. I wish I had more legroom on a plane or a train; life is tough when you’re taller.” The lyrics also highlight the challenges of being tall, pointing out that while height is advantageous for a basketball superstar like Shaq, it may not be ideal for activities like gymnastics.

Recently, O’Neal has made headlines for his return to the music scene, including collaborating on the remix of Rick Ross and Meek Mill’s “Shaq & Kobe.” During the promotional phase of the song, Ross revealed that he nearly signed with Shaq’s record label in the past.

The commercial, available on YouTube, showcased the over-seven-foot O’Neal navigating various scenarios where his size posed challenges, from a hotel bed to the shower and breakfast. The solution? Pepsi’s Big Slam, a full liter of soda tailored for a “big thirst.”

Fast forward almost three decades, and Pepsi draws inspiration from this classic ad, reuniting with the basketball star for a new commercial titled “I Wish.” This parody twist on Skee-Lo’s 1995 rap song features O’Neal expressing a desire to be “a little bit smaller” for an easier daily life.

While tall people grapple with small plane seats, short beds, and traditional suit sizes, O’Neal discovers that Pepsi Mini cans are the perfect size for him.

The clever lyrics, rapped by Skee-Lo, convey O’Neal’s endorsement of Pepsi Mini cans as fresh and “the perfect size, no more, no less.”
