Will CM Punk appear on final WWE RAW 5/3 before WrestleMania 40?

The fans’ expectations of seeing the much-loved wrestler CM Punk at WrestleMania were crushed after he injured his triceps during the Royal Rumble. However, there’s a silver lining as WWE intends to feature The Straight Edge Superstar in the buildup to WrestleMania 40, despite his current recovery from surgery.

Despite Punk’s inability to compete for the next five to six months, WWE unexpectedly promoted the Best in the World’s participation via a tweet to surprise fans for the last Monday Night RAW program before WrestleMania 40.

CM Punk set to feature in final WWE RAW before WM 40

Towards the end of the previous year, CM Punk, also known as the ‘Voice of the Voiceless’, made a spectacular comeback to WWE, generating significant excitement among fans. The anticipation was high for him to be the main attraction at WrestleMania alongside Seth Rollins.

However, the plans took an unexpected turn when Punk suffered a triceps injury during the Royal Rumble. He was sad about this loss because he missed out on events like the most recent Elimination Chamber Premium Live event.

It doesn’t matter that CM Punk will be out of commission until the fall season; he’s still a major star in WWE. The advertisements for the edition of Monday Night RAW that will air on April 1st mention his name, which tries to provide a clue about his role in the events leading up to WrestleMania 40. Nobody knows for sure what he’ll be doing at the big event in Philadelphia, but fans are guessing everything from hosting to refereeing challenges.

Possible WM 40 opponents for CM Punk after Seth Rollins match likely off

Even though CM Punk isn’t really participating in WrestleMania, rumors of a possible match have been circulating due to WWE advertising him for the RAW program right before the event. Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins, who were Rumored to face Punk at WrestleMania, are now scheduled for Heavyweight Championship fights. Given Punk’s major RAW show participation, many wonder who he would fight at the main Mania event.

There have been rumors also circulating that CM Punk and a former star of AEW Cody Rhodes will square off at WrestleMania. But the main event already has Rhodes against Roman Reigns. Thus, Gunther is the only remaining one.

Gunther has stated his desire to face Brock Lesnar in WM 40, but Lesnar’s absence owing to legal matters provides a chance for a highly anticipated bout with Punk. Due to Gunther’s status as the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion, a showdown between him and CM Punk would be a thrilling spectacle for viewers and might increase the title’s prestige.

Do you believe CM Punk will really compete at WrestleMania or is he only being used to hype up the big event? Share your opinion in the comments.

Oh, hi, this is Md Robin Ahmed, a WWE fan and I everyday go through a slew of popular WWE stories on Sportszion. Watching Big Show's Showstopper was the beginning of my passion for WWE, though I have to say that his Chokeslam is not one of my favorite moves. Over time, my love for professional wrestling has intensified, mostly due to the Shield, and my all-time favorite wrestler in WWE is Big Dog. I would give everything to be able to be within a few feet of him to witness his iconic Superman Punch and Spear. My major is engineering, but I'm most happy when I'm doing something artistic that doesn't put me under any pressure. Watching them wrestle and discuss their matches is always fun for me. And I've finally discovered a career that gives me fun since it allows me to with my dream heroes lifestyle. So, Welcome! I'd love to hear from you on LinkedIn and Facebook.
