WWE star Roxanne delivers a stone-cold warning to Lyra Valkyria ahead of title bout at NXT Vengeance Day: “I said I was the best.”

Roxanne Perez has earned another opportunity to compete for the NXT Women’s Championship. The determined wrestler aims to become a two-time champion when she faces Lyra Valkyria at Vengeance Day next month. Despite facing difficult odds, Perez persevered through a group of other women to earn her title shot.

During last night’s episode of NXT, Roxanne Perez participated in a 20-woman battle royal and Perez made it to the final four, which then became a four-way match as previously announced. Ultimately, Perez emerged victorious in this match and is now confidently on a quest to dethrone the current NXT Women’s Champion and reclaim the title.

Roxanne issues stern warning to Lyra Valkyria

During the latest episode of NXT, a battle royal was held to determine the next contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. Roxanne Perez emerged victorious, beating 19 other female superstars, including Lash Legend, Lola Vice, Arianna Grace, and Thea Hail. As a result, Perez has now become the number-one contender for the championship and has issued a warning to the women’s locker room. She will face off against the current champion, Lyra Valkyria, at NXT Vengeance Day 2024.

After the match, Roxanne Perez was interviewed backstage. The interviewer asked her how she felt about winning the battle royal and getting another opportunity to compete for the NXT Women’s Championship.

“What does it mean to me? I just stood in the ring with 19 other women and prevailed. It was me against the world tonight, but did I doubt myself? No. But I’m pretty sure every single person out there did, just like they have been for the past year. When I said that I’m the best da*n woman in this locker room, I wasn’t lying. I’ll say it once, and I’ll say it twice. I’ll say it a third time. I’m The Prodigy, and you can’t break me,” said Roxanne Perez.

This was not the only warning Perez sent to the current NXT Women’s Champion. She even retweeted a WWE announcement post, but with a warning attached.

“Me against the world tonight, didn’t lie when I said I was the best. THE prodigy. See you at Vengeance Day, champ @Real_Valkyria #TuesdayNightRox,” wrote Roxanne Perez in the tweet.

Roxanne vs Lyra Valkyria at NXT Vengeance Day match preview

During the latest episode of WWE NXT, a main event battle royal was held, with 20 women competing for a chance to win the “NXT” Women’s Championship. However, this match had a unique twist. Once 16 women were eliminated, the final four competitors would then compete in a traditional fatal-four-way match.

During the Battle Royal, the commentary team of NXT announced that Cora Jade had torn her ACL at a recent NXT live event. As a result, Wren Sinclair (formerly known as Madi Wrenkowski) replaced her and made an impressive debut. Sinclair made it to the final five before being eliminated by Kiana James.

After Sinclair left the field, James, Roxanne Perez, Fallon Henley, and Kelani Jordan entered the fatal-four-way part of the match. During the final sequence, Jordan tried to perform a split-legged moonsault on James. However, Izzi Dame grabbed James and pulled her out of the ring, causing Jordan to fall and allowing Perez to take advantage and pin Jordan with her “Pop Rox” move to win the match.

After her win, Perez has earned the chance to challenge NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria for the title at NXT Vengeance Day. The event will take place on February 4 at the F&M Bank Arena. Next week, Perez and Valkyria will hold a contract signing for their upcoming title match.
