Curry discusses philanthropic work

NBA star Steph Curry and his wife, Ayesha Curry, discussed their charitable work on CBS Mornings. They aim to raise $50 million for Oakland Unified School District schools through their charity, “Eat. Learn. Play.” Their focus is on providing meals, safe play areas, and books to underprivileged children. Steph Curry emphasized their commitment to helping children, stating, “These kids deserve a chance, especially those from Black and Brown communities.”

Ayesha Curry highlighted the importance of their mission, saying, “Every child should have access to these simple things in life. Without them, how can they dream?” The foundation was established in 2019, and since then, it has significantly impacted Oakland by providing 25 million meals, adding 12 play areas, and allocating $6 million to literacy programs. The Currys involve kids in their initiatives, recognizing the importance of play areas in building confidence.
