NFL announce Bears vs Texans for NFL Hall of Fame game

Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio, is the venue for the 2024 Pro Football Hall of Fame game on August 1st, featuring a thrilling match that will pit the Chicago Bears against the Houston Texans.

Having played five games with an impressive record that has seen them win four times out of five, this will be the sixth time the Bears will play the HOF game.

The Bears first appeared in the game in 1968, while their last outing was in 2005, when they won by six points. The Texans have been making their second appearance ever since their sole entry, which resulted in a defeat back in 2002.

Bears and Texans legends among 2024 NFL Hall of Fame class

The game serves as a prelude to this year’s induction ceremony for the class of 2024 in the Pro Football Hall of Fame alongside other legends like Devin Hester, Steve McMichael, and Julius Peppers for the Bears, plus Andre Johnson of the Texans.

“The game features two teams that finished the 2023 season strong, and have key pieces back in place for 2024,” Pro Football Hall of Fame President Jim Porter said, according to WYTV.

“Bears fans have always supported their Hall of Famers, and they can welcome three more who will be enshrined in Canton this year, while Texans fans can see the franchise’s first Hall of Famer up close as part of the game and Enshrinement weekend. The Pro Football Hall of Fame could not be any more excited about this year’s matchup, and this year’s class.”
