Kylian Mbappe provides timeline to announce PSG future amid speculated move to Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe is widely regarded as one of the best players in the world, and many clubs are eager to have a player of his caliber on their team. The Frenchman has been strongly linked with a departure from his current club, Paris Saint-Germain, for some time now. Coach Luis Enrique has already confirmed that we won’t see the forward play there after this season.

Despite interest from numerous clubs, it appears that his likely destination will be Spanish giants Real Madrid, who have been pursuing him for a while. The player himself has now spoken about his future after the season concludes.

Kylian Mbappe to provide details on PSG future prior to Euros

Kylian Mbappe is almost certain to join Real Madrid in the summer, though an official confirmation is yet to be announced. This has caused much speculation among fans and the media, and they want to be certain of a clear destination.

Recently, Mbappe himself has now spoken about his future. The Frenchman has revealed that he will decide his new club before the upcoming Euro tournament with France. He said, “People will know my future before the Euros. I’m very calm about it. My future is no longer a huge topic at the club, no one talks to me about it anymore.”

Indeed, his exit from PSG is all but announced by the club, as he will leave them for free in the summer when his contract expires. He has already relayed his decision to his teammates and coach, who have been keeping him on the bench during games as a result.

Real Madrid is the club that has reportedly already agreed to a contract with him, which is also said to be signed, making him the best-paid player in Europe, along with other perks like image rights and a bumper signing fee. It is expected that if PSG is knocked out of the Champions League, an official announcement could be made.

Kylian Mbappe to play in Euro and Olympics?

Kylian Mbappe is also ready to do more for his career and for his national team. He is their star player and captain, and will certainly lead them at the upcoming Euro tournament. He reiterated that by saying, “I’ll be at the Euros with calm head, ready to do great things.”

However, he also has the chance to represent his nation in the Olympics games which is taking place in Paris this year. Mbappe had earlier stated, “I always wanted to play at the Olympics and my desire has not changed.”

However, senior players are not usually allowed to play there due to risk of missing club games. Considering he will be at Real Madrid by the time of the Olympics, he may have a harder time. After all, Los Blancos have set strong rules that state a player cannot play both in the Euros\Copa America and the Olympics.

Mbappe also understood this and acknowledged the final decision is not up to him, by stating, “If I play the Olympics then it will be a dream, but if I’m not allowed to, then I will do as I’m told. The decision is still up to one person and they haven’t told me yes or no.”

Previous rumors had suggested that Real Madrid will allow Mbappe a special exemption as part of their deal to play in the Olympics. It will only become clearer when he eventually joins the club. French legend and their U21 coach Thierry Henry has also stated his desire to see Mbappe play for their Olympic team.

For now, Kylian Mbappe will focus on his next game with France against Chile on March 27 in a friendly game.
