Randal Kolo Muani joins PSG in €90 million deal to play alongside national teammate Kylian Mbappe

Paris Saint-Germain have had an active summer transfer window. After the departure of Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr., PSG have bolstered their attack with homegrown attackers like Kylian Mbappe, who, in spite of all controversy, stays at PSG; Ousmane Dembele, who joined from Barcelona; and now Randal Kolo Muani, who has just completed a record move from Eintracht Frankfurt.

The transfer window started out rough for PSG with the Mbappe contract saga and the superstars’ parting ways. PSG were in dire need of world-class attackers, and with all the new signings, their attacking lineup is shaping up to be one of the world’s best.

Randal Kolo Muani’s €90 million contract details

Randal Kolo Muani has now joined PSG after several weeks of negotiations. Personal terms were never an issue, as the 24-year-old has been delighted with the prospect of playing in France and with PSG, the giants of French football.

A first offer for Randal Kolo Muani came, but Eintracht Frankfurt never gave any regard to it. A second offer came for €80 million, but Markus Krösche, the sporting director of Frankfurt, emphasized that they would not entertain any offer below €100 million.

At this point, Kolo Muani, out of frustration, spoke out in a bid to fast-track an agreement between PSG and Frankfurt. He said;

”I owe Eintracht Frankfurt a lot. I’ve taken the fans to my heart and have always behaved in a highly professional way. I always gave everything to the club until the very end. However, it’s no secret that Paris Saint-Germain made a record offer for me. A move to Paris is now a unique opportunity for me. I want to move to Paris and have informed the people in charge.”

After a few offers and rejections, Frankfurt has now accepted a fee of €90 million, including add-ons on transfer deadline day. Acknowledging this contract and welcoming Randal Kolo Muani, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said:

“We are delighted to welcome Randal Kolo Muani – a proud Parisien and Frenchman – to Paris Saint-Germain, to his city and his home.”

Randal Kolo Muani set to link up with Kylian Mbappe at PSG

With Kolo Muani’s signing, PSG has finally succeeded in putting together a French attack force, together with Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele. The trio have already spent time together for the French National Team.

All three French players have been committed to the club in one way or another. Mbappe made a drastic U-turn to remain at the club as soon as Neymar was shown the door; Ousmane Dembele pushed to join PSG from Barcelona, despite Xavi’s attempts to keep him.

Randal Kolo Muani, expressing his keen interest in PSG, said:

“A move to Paris is now a unique opportunity for me. I want to move to Paris and have informed the people in charge. I wish that Eintracht will agree to Paris‘ offer and make this move possible for me.”

PSG later agrees on a deal for Kolo Muani, and he speaks on how excited he is to play for the club, saying;

“It’s great to be back where it all began! The club’s project attracted me. Now I can’t wait to get to work and finally play in these colours.”

Kolo Muani had refused to train with Frankfurt on some occasions, trying to force a move, and now he’s finally had his wish. Do you see him shining for Les Parisiens? Let us know your predictions in the comments.
