“You’re a piece of sh*t”: Alexander Volkanovski slams Henry Cejudo’s on-camera firing of veteran HC Eric Albarracin

Coaches and athletes have a special bond and sometimes it extends beyond that of professionalism as they have a relationship outside that of the sport. A strong bond between fighters and coaches is crucial, especially in combat sports like MMA. No matter how much success they’ve had together, there will be moments when they split their ways.

Recently, an accomplished champion in the UFC fired his longtime head coach and it did not go well with one of the most dominant champions the UFC has ever seen. Find out what a dominant champion had to say about the situation.

Alexander Volkanovski blasts Henry Cejudo for firing Eric Albarracin

Henry Cejudo, the former double champion and Olympic gold medalist, fired his long-time coach Eric Albarracin before his UFC 298 bantamweight bout against Merab Dvalishvili. Alexander Volkanovski, the featherweight UFC champion, blasted Cejudo for the decision to fire his longtime coach in his interview with Oscar Willis for The Maclife.

“You are an absolute prick if you are doing that and thought ‘this would be good content'”, Volkanovski blasted Cejudo for the decision. “Henry, if this is legit you are a piece of sh**. I don’t believe it, I don’t think he’s that much of a sh** bag”, Volkanovskis further added sharing his apprehension in believing that Cejudo did something like that to Eric Albarracin.

Alexander Volkanovski is heading UFC 298 against Ilia Topuria in Anaheim, California, and Cejudo is on the undercard of the PPV with Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa in the co-main event. Volknoavski and Topuria have entertained the fans with their verbal attacks against each other on social media.

The Australian Volkanovski has vowed to shock the world by embarrassing Ilia Topuria whereas Topuria predicted knocking out Volkanovski and even sharing his plans to fight the ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor.

Alexander Volkanovski wants UFC 300 following UFC 298

Even though UFC 300 is less than 2 months away from UFC 298, Alexander Volkanovski has plans to headline the PPV, as revealed in his interview on The Maclife. “There are still so many exciting fights at lightweight. We all know I want to be active and I want to be busy, you know. As people keep, obviously, bringing up the number”, Volkanovski said of his plans to fight at lightweight at UFC 300.

“I will put my hand up, you know. I mean, let me do business this weekend, and maybe that’s what you see in the mic straight after it”, Volkanovski said of his plans after UFC 300. “I’ll be on a high after teaching someone a lesson, and I want to get back into it. No weight cut, nothing”, Volkanovski further explained his plans for UFC 300.

“I’ll stay in good nick, and we’ll do 300, you know what I mean. So, we’ll see what happens”, Volkanovski concluded, as he predicted that he would be in good shape after UFC 298 to be ready for a call to headline UFC 300.

UFC 300 is still without a main event fight and neither the UFC nor Dana White have released a clue as to who will headline it. If Volkanovski raises the hand for UFC 300, a trilogy fight with Islam Makhachev could happen.
