Harry Kane exposes Jamie Carragher’s dishonest claim in front of live audience

Harry Kane is certainly living his best life in Bayern Munich, as he won another crucial game with them. The record Bundesliga champions managed to breeze a 3-0 win against Lazio in the Champions League to get into the last eight of the Champions League.

It was a great moment for the Bavarians after some tough weeks after going 10 points behind in the Bundesliga race to Bayer Leverkusen. And after the game, Kane had a funny moment with a fellow Englishman.

Harry Kane exposes Jamie Carragher’s lie

After the game had finished, Harry Kane, who was the Man of the Match, gave an interview with the popular sports commentary channel CBS Sports. CBS Sports presenter Kate Abdo asked Kane a question: whether co-presenter and Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher had called him before the game to motivate him.

Kane hilariously replied, “That is false.” which earned huge laughter in the CBS studio. Carragher then replied, “H, don’t do this to me! I’m telling everyone in America that we’re friends, we’ve got a great relationship. I can’t believe you’ve just done that to me!”

Kane then said, “We are friends, but I’m not going to lie on national TV.” They later carried the friendly banter onto their Twitter handles, with Carragher confirming he had lied to apparently impress his ‘American viewers’.

The entire funny moment went viral on social media with fans calling it one of the most hilarious moments in the studio. Many fans pointed out the lies told by pundits regularly and praised Kane for stopping Carragher in his tracks.

Nevertheless of whether Carragher did motivate Kane or not, the English striker managed to strike two goals to ensure a 3-0 win for his team. This led them to win the Round of 16 tie after previously losing the first leg 1-0 to Lazio.

Harry Kane’s tremendous debut season for Bayern continues

Yesterday only summed up the great season Harry Kane has been having for Bayern Munich so far. Since arriving for a club record fee in the summer, the Englishman has been really great up front for the record Bundesliga champions.

He has scored 33 goals in the same number of games so far them which just proves how much of a goal threat he has been. 27 of those were in the Bundesliga, where he is very close to breaking Robert Lewandowski’s 41 goal record. The other 6 are in the Champions League. However, while he has been great individually, his team’s performances have lead to that being overshadowed.

Already manager Thomas Tuchel has agreed to leave the club at the end of the season, after the club went behind Bayer Leverkusen in the league title race by 10 points. They are already knocked out of the DFB Pokal as well.

Harry Kane will try to score again when Bayern Munich take on Mainz in their next Bundesliga fixture on Saturday.
