Kylian Mbappe is now approaching the end of his contract at Parc des Princes. Despite the club’s efforts to retain him by offering an improved contract, the forward seems unlikely to renew. It appears increasingly probable that he will join Real Madrid as a free agent in the summer.

The 25-year-old has not made any decision regarding committing his future to either club. Real Madrid is waiting for the player’s green light to present an official bid for the forward. It is believed that the offer will be less than what they had proposed in 2022 but they are pulling off an astronomical Kylian Mbappe transfer using Vinicius Jr.

Recently, La Liga president Javier Tebas expressed his thoughts on the highly discussed transfer story. He stated, “I think highly of it. It’s a personal opinion. 26-year-old player… it will depend on Real Madrid, the president, and what he is willing to bet on,” in his interview with Marca.

He added, “Real Madrid must think that the arrival of Bellingham has made them already have a star, Vinicius is another. If the player wants to go to Madrid… More than 50%.”

PSG already knows who will replace Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe has maintained exceptional form in the current season while playing for PSG. The attacker has scored 28 goals and provided 6 assists in 26 club appearances across all competitions, establishing himself as a crucial force in the French champions’ offensive lineup. His outstanding abilities make him a challenging player to replace.

Nonetheless, the club managed by Luis Enrique is already preparing for the almost certain departure of their number seven, with the Frenchman on the verge of leaving as a free agent in the summer. Reportedly, they have identified AC Milan and Portugal star Rafael Leão as a potential replacement.

Already a highly rated forward in Europe, Leão could be a potential target for PSG if Kylian Mbappe departs. He has also previously played under PSG’s sporting director at Lille. The Portuguese star is currently under contract with AC Milan until 2028, and his estimated price tag is around €150 million.
