Luis Enrique suggests PSG “will have way better squad” next season without Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe is nearing the end of his tenure at PSG, the club he has been playing for since 2017. PSG made him the second most expensive player in the world when they splashed €180 million to sign him permanently from Monaco in 2018 after an initial loan deal that brought him to the club the previous season.

A lot has happened since then. He’s been made the highest-paid footballer in Europe and played with the hearts of Real Madrid fans, but this time, he’s leaving for Los Blancos. Although he will be missed, PSG manager Luis Enrique is now claiming it may be an opportunity for the club to rebuild.

Kylian Mbappe’s departure will make PSG stronger, according to Enrique

Kylian Mbappe only has one thing on his mind right now; joining Real Madrid this summer, it’s a good deal for the Los Blancos because they will be getting him on a free transfer, which is better than the huge bid they sent for him in the summer of 2022 before Mbappe made a U-turn to sign a new two-year contract at the French club.

There’s no doubt that Mbappe is and has been PSG’s best player for a while now. Even with Messi and Neymar on the club’s books last season, Mbappe’s importance remained high. With his departure this summer all but confirmed, Luis Enrique has urged PSG to assemble a better team next season.

“If all goes to plan, I’m sure we will have a better squad next season; I’m convinced of that,” the former Barcelona boss said. “In the defense, in the attack, physical, and also technical point of view, we will be better, no doubt,” he added.

PSG have already spent a fortune to acquire top players like Ousmane Dembele, Goncalo Ramos, Lucas Hernandez, and Marco Asensio. If these players can step up next season, with reasonable activity in the transfer market, PSG should be fine, even without their go-to player.

Mbappe’s mother reportedly seen house-hunting in Madrid

With each day that goes by, it’s becoming clearer how Kylian Mbappe will be a Madrid player by July. According to several reports, Real Madrid have managed to tie the Frenchman down to a lucrative five-year deal, with him becoming the club’s highest-paid player. Although those numbers aren’t too far apart from what the current highest earner gets at the club.

Ahead of this summer move, Kylian Mbappe’s mother has been reported to be house hunting in Madrid to find a comfortable house for his son to aid his adaptation when he finally moves to the Spanish capital.

If a summer move materializes, and it will, Kylian Mbappe will form a deadly attacking unit with Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo. This will make Real Madrid perhaps the most feared team in the whole of Europe. The Los Blancos are also looking to bring Bayern Munich full-back, Alphonso Davies, building a dream team that is capable of taking down any team in Europe and the rest of the world.
