Manchester United are one of those clubs and they are already planning their strategy for the 2024–25 season. Furthermore, they have some big transfer plans with a statement signing already planned, along with many others. And now the club have already mapped out their pre-season tour, which will be in the United States.
Who will Manchester United face during 2024 preseason?
Manchester United have already planned their pre-season tour for the next season and have chosen the United States as their destination. The previous pre-season tour was also held in the same country.
The club have confirmed that they will face Spanish club Real Betis in their second pre-season friendly game, which will be held in San Diego on July 31. The game will take place at Snapdragon Stadium, where they lost 3-1 to Wrexham last time around. The previous confirmed fixtures included the opening game against Arsenal in Los Angeles on July 27 and another against rivals Liverpool on August 3 in South Carolina.
Director of the club John Murtough spoke about the selected pre-season fixtures, “Pre-season matches are designed to give our team the best possible preparation for the start of the Premier League season, while also providing top-class entertainment for fans.”
He further added, “We had a great experience during last year’s visit to San Diego and everyone at Manchester United is looking forward to returning to the Snapdragon Stadium and reconnecting with our passionate and loyal fans in the region.”
United will also face other games, with fixtures in Trondheim and Edinburgh with dates on July 10 and 15. There could be more friendlies that depend on the Community Shield.
Manchester United gearing up for Liverpool in FA Cup clash
Manchester United will now prepare for their next clash on March 17, which is a FA Cup quarter final against rivals Liverpool. The Red Devils will host Jurgen Klopp’s men for the second time this season. The earlier encounter was in the Premier League which ended in a 0-0 draw.
United will be hoping to beat their rivals in order to have some chance of silverware this season. The Red Devils have no chance of winning the Premier League, and have been knocked out of European competitions as well. Liverpool have won the Carabao Cup already but will be looking to add the FA Cup to their trophy cabinet as well.
Manchester United will face Liverpool next Sunday and will hope for a win to advance to the FA Cup semifinals.
