Suns’ Kevin Durant candidly criticizes Big 3 debut issues in Nets loss

The debut night for the Big 3 of the Phoenix Suns did not go as fans may have expected. The trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal faced a bitter defeat at the hands of the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.

The individual performances of all three Suns stars were good against the Nets, but they were not able to click together. After the game, KD talked about the issues that may have led to this disappointing loss in a post-game conference.

Kevin Durant openly blasts Big 3 debut flaws in Nets loss

The Phoenix Suns have three players who are considered to be among the best of the best in the league, however, injuries prevented all three of them from playing at the same. This season luckily there have been no major injuries and the big three of Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Bradley Beal can all play at the same time.

However, the debut of the big 3 of the Suns was faced with a defeat against the Nets and KD talked about the issues he observed that led to this unlikely outcome for the Suns. On being asked about the game Kevin Durant said, “We showed some spirit. I have to give the Nets credit. They played three or four different types of defenses tonight trying to throw us off. I think we fought through it and did figure some stuff out.”

Later on, he was asked about the mentality of the team regarding the different types of defenses they were going to face. KD replied, “Yeah most definitely, when there is so much hype surrounding your team… if we face some stuff up we gonna up the game.”

Suns lose to Nets

The Phoenix Suns faced the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night and it was the first time that the three big superstars of the Suns were playing together in a game. Both the teams gave their best but the Nets were able to snatch the victory from the hands of the Suns with a final score of 116-112.

Devin Booker and Kevin Durant shined from the Suns’ side, Booker scored 34 points, collected six rebounds, and supplied twelve crucial assists. KD scored 27 points, collected six rebounds, and assisted his team four times. Jusuf Nurkic and Bradley Beal also delivered great performances with 15 points and 22 rebounds for Jusuf and 14 points for Beal.
