According to The Athletic, Robert Lewandowski is one of the players Barcelona is most thinking about selling this summer. Brazilian winger Raphinha is also another such player rumored to take an exit.
While the Poland international has shown he has returned to form in recent weeks, many officials at the club are heavily advocating for his sale. Many believe that the player is not the perfect striker and is not an ideal player to build the team around. There is also the matter of his huge wages, which are set to increase again next season.

The interest for the player is mostly from Saudi Pro League clubs, which have recently paid big money for many European soccer stars such as Ruben Neves and Neymar Jr. It is expected that they will also pay a huge amount of money for Lewandowski, which could help Barcelona financially a lot.
The presence of young strikers like Vitor Roque and Marc Guiu is also convincing the club to contemplate the sale of their veteran striker. Lewandowski himself is said to be willing to stay in the Catalan city, but he may have no choice but to accept.
Robert Lewandowski’s performance this season
Robert Lewandowski has not been having a great season by his lofty standards. The former Bayern Munich striker is known to score goals for fun but he has not been able to replicate that form this season.
The Polish striker has only scored 18 times in the 35 games he has played so far. 12 of those have come in the league, and he only has 2 strikes in the Champions League. Compared to last season, by this point, he should have scored much more goals. He had 33 goals last season for the Blaugrana, which was the reason behind their success.
His downgrade in performances has also hampered the team who have struggled to make an impact. Lewandowski has recently come back in form, with 4 goals in the last 3 games, but needs to do more to help the club.
