However, since Elon Musk acquired X, his fortunes have changed and he has made scathing remarks on it and the latest target of the former champion was Machine Gun Kelly.

“I almost hit a vampire tonight… lol! They said his name is machine gun kelly.. How do you have a dope ass name and dress like a 13 goth south park character?!?” tweeted Strickland, tolling Machine Gun Kelly for his choice of attire even though he has a name that Strickland found to be cool.

Strickland lost the middleweight title at UFC 297, in Canada, to South Africa’s Dricus du Plessis in an engaging fight that went the full five rounds. In the end, Strickland was on the short end of a split decision victory, creating a big social media controversy as they felt Strickland was robbed of a victory.

Sean had earlier stirred controversy before the fight when he engaged in a verbal altercation with MMA Fighting’s Alexander K. Lee regarding past homophobic comments he made. It’s important to note that UFC 297 featured two gay fighters in the co-main event who expressed.

Sean Strickland’s tweet about Machine Gun Kelly did not go unnoticed by his fans on X as they shared hilarious reactions to the tweet. “Bro just fighting everybody today😭” commented one fan who alluded to the recent sparring he had with popular streamer Sneako.

“Buddy called MGK a vampire lol,” commented another fan who found it hilarious that Strickland called MGK a vampire. It is not the first time that Strickland shared hilarious nicknames to people as he gave one to Aaron “Steiny” Steinberg of the NELK Boys on the Full Send podcast.

“He’s the one that McGregor slapped 😭,” commented yet another fan, referencing the past interaction between McGregor and MGK, where the duo had an altercation. This occurred after McGregor was recovering from his unfortunate leg break at UFC 264.

Sean Strickland has a loyal fan base due to his outspoken and controversial views which have often created a lot of controversy. Nonetheless, his fans always stay loyal to him as evidenced by the support he got after his loss at UFC 297.
