However, Chelsea legend John Terry has hinted at the existence of “another side to the story” in defense of the 24-year-old Englishman, which suggests that there may be more to Mount’s departure from Chelsea than meets the eye.

On his move to Manchester United, Mason Mount, at the age of 24, has been providing Manchester United’s midfield with the increased depth and versatility that they need while also bringing his skill in delivering set-pieces. However, he’s been struggling to adapt to his new environment.
Mount was a home-grown Chelsea player straight out of Cobham, hence Chelsea fans felt let down and disappointed following his exit. They felt the move away from Chelsea to a direct rival, Manchester United, was borne out of disrespect for the club.

John Terry hints at Mason Mount’s possible return to Chelsea
Despite the bitterness and disappointment from Chelsea fans over Mason Mount’s shocking departure, there was no trace of bitterness from Mason Mount’s current and former Chelsea teammates, including club legend John Terry.
Terry left a message on his Instagram post with three blue hearts, symbolizing his support and well-wishes for Mount. Tammy Abraham also extended his best wishes to Mount, while Callum Hudson-Odoi expressed his sadness at his departure, reflecting the strong camaraderie within the Chelsea squad.
The former Chelsea captain has sparked controversy with his recent comments on Mount, which indicate Mount’s potential return to Stamford Bridge in the future. He said (via Simon Philips): “I’m not going to air that now but there’s another side to the story. Let’s not be too harsh on Mason when he comes back.”
