Chiefs vs Vikings injury report for NFL Week 5 game

After kicking off the season with an upset loss against the Detroit Lions, the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs soon regained their supremacy. Andy Reid’s squad snatched three victories in a row, keeping their Super Bowl aspirations for this season as well.

The Chiefs are now set to square off against the Minnesota Vikings as a part of their Week 5 game. Before the match, the two teams revealed their injury reports for this week. Let’s have a look at it.

As Week 5 progresses, it is still unclear whether Kansas City’s linebacker Nick Bolton (ankle), defensive tackle Matt Dickerson (knee), and offensive lineman Wanya Morris (hip) will play against the Minnesota Vikings.

Bolton continued to be a limited participant for a third straight day as he recovered from an ankle sprain suffered in Week 2. Dickson’s condition got better compared to earlier as he went from not practicing on Wednesday or Thursday to having limited practice on Friday. Morris missed one day of practice, took part in some capacity on Thursday, and fully on Friday.

Apart from these three, the Kansas City Chiefs listed seven more names in their injury list though their game status was not updated. They are cornerback Jaylen Watson (shoulder), linebacker Jack Cochrane (calf), defensive tackle Chris Jones (groin), defensive end George Karlaftis (knee), cornerback L’Jarius Sneed (knee), receiver Kadarius Toney (toe), and linebacker Drue Tranquill (wrist).

Asamoah, Davenport, Cine, and Mullens joined the first practice session on a limited basis. Yet, apart from Davenport, the rest three players were limited in practice on Friday.

The Vikings also listed five other players’ names on the roster, including Linebacker Jordan Hicks, tackle Brian O’Neill safety Harrison Smith, Center Garrett Bradbury (back), and safety Josh Metellus (shoulder). The game status of these five were kept under wraps.
