Cristiano Ronaldo’s son once provided penalty shooting lessons to his father

Cristiano Ronaldo has reached this pinnacle of success and professionalism through relentless hard work. Most of his former teammates at Manchester United usually tell the story of how hardworking the Portuguese forward is. He was so competitive that he once lost a tennis match to Ferdinand, and he practiced for an entire week and won the rematch.

Ronaldo’s work ethic is arguably the best of any soccer player in the world, which is why he has many young players that look up to him. His son is one of those people, as he gets to see his father’s greatness up close. However, Cristiano Ronaldo may have also learned something from his son, Cristiano Jr.

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. provided father penalty shooting class

Cristiano Ronaldo has been a positive influence on the younger generation of soccer players worldwide. Icons like Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, Alejandro Garnacho, and others idolize the former Real Madrid star due to the greatness he has achieved.

Ronaldo’s impact extends to his own son, Cristiano Jr., who has progressed through the academies of each club his father has played for, from Real Madrid and Juventus to Manchester United and Al-Nassr, where they currently play at different levels.

With Cristiano Ronaldo’s expertise, which includes his incredible penalty-taking skills, he couldn’t help but go head-to-head with his son in their yard. Ronaldo aspires for his son to become a footballer, and he witnessed that dream come to life when they took turns in a penalty contest. Despite Cristiano Jr. winning, his father surprisingly made him do several push-ups, leaving fans puzzled.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s son wanted to be a goalkeeper

It is everyone’s wish that there’ll be another generation of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, or at least something close to the level of greatness both players have managed to achieve in their respective careers. Although it’s too early to tell, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. seems like a brilliant footballer, and if he has half of his father’s work ethic, he’ll do just fine in the game.

However, this may not have been possible had his father agreed to his earlier request to be a goalkeeper. In an old documentary about the Portuguese star, Cristiano Jr. expressed he wanted to be a goalkeeper. “I’m going to be a goalkeeper, okay, dad?” he asked.

“No, I don’t want that. Are you joking or what?” Ronaldo responded. The boy then went on to offer his father how to take penalty kicks, an offer his father took him up on.
