He partnered with the American Heart Association to raise awareness about the significance of heart protection, coinciding with National Wear Red Day.

“I just want to give a big thank you to the American Heart Association for having me here,” Hamlin said via CBS News.

The illumination of the Empire State Building served as a powerful visual reminder of the cause, capturing the attention of many in New York City.

The young star said, “We’re raising the awareness.”

The safety experienced a terrifying moment of cardiac arrest on the field during a Monday Night Football game in January 2023. He understands firsthand the significance of heart health. His journey from a life-threatening incident to returning to the game he loves has transformed him into a beacon of hope for many.

The NFL star embarked on a mission to educate and raise awareness about life-saving measures such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator). He also conducts CPR tours in cities like Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. His commitment extended to the donation of AEDs to various sports teams.

Damar Hamlin commemorated the life-saving incident with a new tattoo. Besides that, he established the ‘Damar Hamlin’s Cincinnati Heroes Scholarship’ through his Chasing M Foundation.
