Ex-Spurs G Josh Primo plans to join Clippers after four-game NBA suspension due to allegedly exposing himself to women

The former San Antonio Spurs guard Josh Primo can possibly sign with the Los Angeles Clippers. The guard is currently is facing a suspension order and is also undergoing therapy. The Spurs had signed Primo back in the 2021 NBA draft as their 12th pick but waived him just an year after.

Josh Primo is a player with great potential, he is known for his impressive passing ability, shooting skills and versatility as a defender. However, his potential and career has almost been ruined because of the allegations he faced which has led to his ongoing suspension in the league.

It was reported that the free agent guard Josh Primo is planning to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers. After he was waived off by Spurs, Josh has been in therapy and is focusing on his mental health. The sources told ESPN that the contract Primo is going to sign will be a two way contract.

Primo has only played a total of 54 games for the Spurs after being drafted. He faced a lawsuit which was settled recently. The lawsuit was filed by the former team psychologist Dr. Hillary Cauthen who alleged Primo of exposing himself in an inappropriate manner during the therapy sessions. The lawsuit was also filed against the franchise for not taking appropriate action after multiple reports by Cauthen.

Why Josh Primo received four-game NBA suspension?

Josh Primo received a four game NBA suspension because of the allegations he is facing. He was alleged of sexual misconduct where several female Spurs employees have reported incident of Josh exposing himself on multiple occasions. The former psychologist of the Spurs accused Primo of exposing himself a total of nine time in front of her during their therapy sessions.

Primo was soon waived off after the allegations surfaced and his contract was terminated. An investigation was carried out by the league, but they did not find any concrete proof against the former Spurs guard. The last time Josh was seen on the court was back in October 2022 and he has not played since then, missing basketball action for almost a year.

The LA Clippers will start the new season on October 25 against the Portland Trail Blazers and Primo won’t be available to play until November 1st. This is not good for him as he can see himself drop down to the G league. However, Primo is focusing on his mental health and is trying to come back stronger. It remains to be seen how his future in the league will unfold.
