Former NFL QB Dan Orlovsky clarifies farting incident at Pat McAfee show: “The windshield wipers”

Dan Orlovsky found himself at the center of a hilarious yet bizarre moment during his appearance on ‘The Pat McAfee Show.’ The conversation about Iowa women’s basketball star Caitlin Clark and hockey legend Wayne Gretzky took a hilarious turn when McAfee and his co-hosts accused Orlovsky of farting live on air. Orlovsky, however, vehemently denied the accusation, attributing the sound to the windshield wipers of his car, where he conducted the interview.

The incident occurred during a seemingly routine interview, but it quickly became anything but ordinary when an unidentified noise disrupted the conversation. McAfee, visibly puzzled by the sound, wasted no time addressing it and teasing Orlovsky about the possibility of him passing gas.

“Another farting Dan Orlovsky situation just took place… your butt was talking. Your butt just farted into the phone again like you were on Monday Night Football,” McAfee joked, eliciting laughter from his co-hosts.

The former Lions’ QB was taken aback by the accusation and soon adamantly denied any wrongdoing.

“What do you mean? I did not fart. Are you guys being serious right now or are you messing with me?”, he questioned.

The former NFL quarterback took to Twitter to reiterate his defense, reiterating that the sound was indeed caused by his windshield wipers.

“I hate McAfee. It was the windshield wipers,” he retorted.

While the source of the mysterious sound remains disputed, Orlovsky’s comical encounter on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ left viewers entertained and wondering whether he was telling the truth about the unconventional culprit behind the noise.

During the pregame show for the Buffalo Bills-Tennessee Titans game, Orlovsky seemingly sneezed and farted simultaneously, catching the attention of viewers and fellow broadcasters. Yet, he continued speaking without missing a beat as if nothing had happened.

Former NFL lineman T.J. Lang took to Twitter to highlight the awkward moment, commending Orlovsky for his professionalism in carrying on with the broadcast seamlessly.

“Starts with a sneeze/fart combo and then goes on to call a flawless game. Talk about fighting thru adversity. It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish. Well done @danorlovsky,” Lang wrote.

In a humorous twist, Orlovsky later addressed the incident, attributing the fart to his first encounter with blue cheese.

“Shoulda never tried to blue cheese,” he wrote.
