Giants’ Tommy DeVito issues brutal warning to Eagles fans ahead of Christmas clash: “I like a hostile crowd”

Tommy DeVito, the New York Giants rookie quarterback, was rarely known by even his team fans before his unexpected turn from an undrafted player to the No. 1 quarterback. While the Giants team was struggling with their starter Daniel Jones’ season-ending injury, a trial on the rookie quarterback led the team to leave their whole trust in DeVito.

To adorn his team’s trust and confidence in him, the Giant’s rookie starter is ready again to start against the high-flying Philadelphia Eagles with a daring attitude.

Tommy DeVito ready for hostile reception in Philadelphia

While Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs is renowned for his poise in the face of adversity, a new rookie quarterback, Tommy DeVito, is making waves by expressing his eagerness to embrace raucous crowds, especially on Christmas day.

DeVito, set to make his sixth NFL start against the Philadelphia Eagles (10-4), issued a stern warning that the intimidating atmosphere at Lincoln Financial Field won’t faze him. In fact, he boldly proclaimed his love for unfriendly environments, especially the kind he anticipates in the City of Brotherly Love.

“I heard it’s a pretty hostile environment, I’m looking forward to it. I like to thrive in those environments. I like a hostile crowd,” DeVito confidently stated during a press conference.

As the holiday matchup unfolds, DeVito anticipates plenty of spirited greetings from the city of Philadelphia. However, he is prepared with a festive response: “I’ll say Merry Christmas right back,” DeVito declared

DeVito’s journey into the NFL has been marked by determination and fearlessness, qualities that came to the forefront during his three-game winning streak as the starting quarterback for the New York Giants. Nevertheless, the streak was halted by the New Orleans Saints in a 24-6 defeat, where DeVito faced the challenges head-on.

While the loss to the Saints marked a setback, DeVito’s unwavering confidence and ability to thrive in hostile environments stand as key elements in letting the Eagles have one more nightmare.

Tommy DeVito issues apology over appearance fee mix-up

The New Jersey native DeVito became entangled in an unwanted dispute with Coniglio’s Old Fashioned Pizzeria in Morristown. The disagreement centered around an appearance fee and threatened to cast a shadow over what was initially anticipated as an exciting event.

Coniglio’s Old Fashioned Pizzeria, a small family-run business, took to social media to announce the cancellation of DeVito’s scheduled visit. The owner claimed that DeVito’s agent had unexpectedly doubled the appearance fee from $10,000 to a staggering $20,000. This sudden turn of events unfolded following Tommy’s game-winning drive, which led the Giants to triumph over the Green Bay Packers on December 11, adding an unforeseen layer of complexity to the situation.

Nino, the owner of the pizzeria, expressed disappointment in the turn of events. Initial discussions with DeVito’s agent, Sean Stellato, had resulted in a verbal agreement for a two-hour appearance, 250 autographs, and a fee of $10,000. Nevertheless, communication breakdowns dimmed hopes for the anticipated event.

In an Instagram post, the pizzeria explained, as per NBC New York, “We are a small family run business & decided $20,000 was a bit steep for 2 hours,” while extending apologies to those who had already purchased tickets

In an effort to reconcile with the small pizzeria, DeVito personally visited Coniglio’s, engaging in a sit-down discussion with the owner and sharing a slice.

Sean Stellato, DeVito’s agent, clarified that the entire episode was a misunderstanding. Despite the differences, DeVito and the pizzeria found common ground through a charitable solution.

However, Sean defended their side, noting, “It’s a shame that the restaurant promoted that they would have Tommy when we didn’t have a signed contract. We didn’t raise the price because nothing was ever agreed to.”

In the end, what started as a dispute over appearance fees transformed into a heartwarming resolution.
