Raiders’ interim coach, Antonio Pierce, shed light on Jacobs’ situation, highlighting the ongoing struggle with the quad injury and emphasizing the importance of prioritizing Jacobs’ well-being over immediate on-field contributions. 

“If he’s not able to go full strength, there is no need to put him out there and risk further injury. And I know him.”

Before succumbing to the injury, he amassed 805 rushing yards on 233 carries with six touchdowns. Additionally, he contributed significantly in the passing game, securing 37 receptions on 54 targets for a total of 296 yards, as per ESPN.

Despite Jacobs’ absence in the last three consecutive games, the Raiders managed to secure victories in two matchups by dint of the commendable performance of second-year running back Zamir White, who stepped up in place of the injured star. Notably, the Raiders upset the Kansas City Chiefs during this stretch, keeping their slim postseason aspirations alive.

While Jacobs’ impact has been missed on the field, the team remains cautious about his health, evident in his absence from Wednesday and Thursday’s practice sessions.
