Lakers injury woes continue as LeBron James sets to miss another Victor Wembanyama clash

The Lakers were just starting to get back to winning under the leadership of their ace LeBron James after a disappointing start to the season but now it looks like James will be out for a few games.

The absence of Bron is felt throughout the team as he is a key player in the squad and filling his space is not an easy task. The Lakers had to face the San Antonio Spurs without Bron but they managed to do it well as other players stepped up.

Lakers face injury concerns with LeBron James

The Lakers have been struck with an injury crisis as several players from the squad appeared on the injury list before the purple and gold faced the Spurs. While there are no major injuries to any player, the listed injuries are reasonable enough for them to sit out games.

The reported players who may play despite facing injuries are Jarred Vanderbilt, who suffered a low back spasm, Anthony Davis, who suffered a left adductor/hip spasm, and Taurean Prince, who experienced left knee soreness. LeBron James is sidelined with a left calf contusion and did not appear in the game against the Spurs. Players confirmed to be out for some time are Jalen Hood-Schifino, Maxwell Lewis, and Gabe Vincent.

Lakers secure victory against Spurs despite LeBron’s absence

The LeBron-less Lakers faced the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday in a thrilling match. The Spurs had lost 17 straight games before their matchup against the Lakers, and all eyes were on the number one draft pick rookie, Victor Wembanyama. Victor has been struggling with typical rookie problems as he transitions into the NBA, showing sparks of greatness here and there but still unable to carry his team and win games for them.

It looked to be a hopeful game for the Spurs as LeBron James was not participating but their hopes were crushed by James’ partner Anthony Davis. The big man of the Lakers played dominant football and did not hold back against the most anticipated rookie. He led the Lakers to a second consecutive win without LeBron James proving that he can take responsibility in the absence of Bron.

On the other side, Wembanyama did not give up easily and put up a great fight, scoring 30 points, collecting 13 rebounds, and making six crucial blocks. However, AD’s experience gave him the edge as the Lakers star dominantly scored 37 points and collected 10 rebounds. The Lakers ended the game with a victory, securing a final score of 122-119.

What do you think of Anthony Davis’ performance in the absence of Bron? When do you anticipate LeBron James will return? We are eager to hear your thoughts, so drop them in the comments and let us know
