Rachel Nichols claims LeBron James “is getting a taste of his own medicine” courtesy Nikola Jokic

LeBron James has struggled so far to lead the LA Lakers to a win in the playoff series against the Denver Nuggets. Despite his efforts, the Lakers were defeated twice at the Ball Arena. While discussing how the Lakers gave away their 20-point lead, NBA analyst Rachel Nichols stated that the 39-year-old is getting dominated by Nikola Jokic and his team the same way he used to dominate the Eastern teams.

During a recent episode of “Undisputed” Nichols said, “LeBron James is getting a taste of his own medicine.”

Justifying her opinion, she added, “All of those years he played in the Eastern conference when he played for Cleveland and Miami. We kept calling the Finals the LeBron James invitational because no one else had a shot in the conference, no one else was getting there.” The FOX analyst believes that Nikola Jokic is now dominating in the same manner.

The Lakers, especially LeBron James, were devastated by the back-to-back losses on the road. Even though they had the upper hand in Game 2, the Nuggets still succeeded in beating them by 101-99. Ahead of game 3, LeBron James reflected on those shortcomings.

The LA squad had a good start in the second game and led by 15 points by the end of the first half. In the early minutes of the third quarter, that increased to 20 points, however, the tide turned from there and ended with the Lakers’ loss. Their star forward LeBron James said, “It’s all about sustainability.”

“It doesn’t matter what you can do throughout the first 47 and a half minutes. You got to close the game, which we didn’t do. We got to do a better job of that. But some of the things that we’ve done over the first couple games, we’re very excited and happy about those,” said the 4-time NBA champion, as per ESPN.

LeBron James emphasized closing the games well and that will certainly be aided by the fact that the Lakers will have a home advantage in the third game on Thursday at Crypto.com Arena.
