In a recent episode of “The Rush” podcast hosted by Maxx Crosby, an unexpected topic took center stage as Crosby and Rams’ star player Puka Nacua delved into their NBA legends of choice. During the candid conversation, the Raiders player boldly declared his unwavering allegiance to Kobe Bryant, sparking a debate on the timeless rivalry between Bryant and LeBron James.

While recognizing Jordan as the greatest of all time, the defensive end confessed, “I’m a Kobe guy.”

“You know people have their preferences. I mean they’re both great. I think Jordan’s the greatest. I’m a Kobe guy. I’m not saying he’s greater than LeBron but I’m a Kobe guy” he said.

The debate between Kobe Bryant and LeBron James has been a recurring theme in basketball circles, with fans and analysts alike dissecting their respective careers and legacies.

Throughout their illustrious careers, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James shared the court 22 times, with LeBron emerging victorious in 16 of those encounters. LeBron’s first victory against Kobe came on February 13, 2005, per Sportskeeda.

Puka Nacua expresses love for LeBron James

While Maxx Crosby shared his love for Kobe Bryant, Puka Nacua just went crazy sharing his love for LeBron James during the podcast. Nevertheless,  Nacua shared his regret at not yet having the opportunity to meet the basketball icon in person.

“I mean I as a LeBron stand I still have yet to meet,” he said. 

Nacua vividly described a moment when he found himself seated courtside, mere feet away from LeBron James, recalling a memorable encounter during a basketball game. As James prepared to shoot free throws, he seized the opportunity to express his adoration, standing up and declaring his love for the basketball superstar. 

“Right behind the courtside, they are shooting free throws and LeBron likes the block like he is looking at the block like facing us. So I do like stand up and like be like bro I love you. I love you dude.”

With averages of 27.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 9.1 assists per game, coupled with an impressive 54% field goal shooting, James has solidified his status as one of the greatest players in NBA history.
