The relationship between Victor Osimhen and Napoli continues to grow further apart as the days go on. Ever since the club humiliated the player by releasing some insulting videos of him on their TikTok, there has been uncertainty regarding his future there.
Osimhen was instrumental in Napoli’s historic Serie A trophy win last season, scoring 26 goals along the way. The Nigerian could have left for a bigger club but decided to stay. And it looks like another incident with the fans this time could finally be the nail in the coffin for Victor to leave.

Recently, on one of his off days, Osimhen was traveling by car somewhere. Being still beloved by the fans, his vehicle was crowded by a lot of them, with many asking him for autographs. But the Nigerian was fuming and shouting at the people, refusing to sign any autographs. He then left with his car, leaving the fans disappointed.
The video has since went viral on social media, with many criticizing the player for letting down his fans, while others defending him for not putting up with the fan’s disrespectful gestures on his holiday.
This is certainly worrying, considering it is one of the few times he has had such a reaction. Before this, he was polite and gave much time to his fans. It seems that the current situation with the club may have provoked such a reaction from the striker.
Osimhen is currently injured, suffering a hamstring injury while on international duty. He has also missed the last two league matches and is not present for their Champions League clash against Union Berlin tonight.

And now it seems more than likely that Victor Osimhen will leave the club next season. The relationship between the player and club seems irreparable now.
In an interview with Tutto Napoli, president AurelioĀ De Laurentiis seemingly confirmed the rumors, saying, “There is no problem, there is never a problem; everyone in Napoli is always happy; the problem is when they leave, they can no longer find the main road.”
Already, many clubs are monitoring the situation and are ready to place bids for the player. Chelsea were already keeping tabs on him amid their own striker situation, and a player like Osimhen could definitely be a worthy investment.
Arsenal are also keen to buy the player, though a swap deal with Gabriel Jesus was reported earlier. Recently, Liverpool entered the race when they sent scouts to watch Victor when he was on international duty with Nigeria.
Napoli will still demand a hefty fee, with a price between ā¬100 and 150 million being reported. It may be a bit lower now that Osimhen wants to leave but he has a contract until 2025. The striker has a dream of playing in the Premier League and Chelsea seems to be his favored destination, as he used to admire their legend Didier Drogba. The Blues are also the only ones capable of paying the necessary funds for his transfer.
