LA Knight bleeds in triple threat match at 1/5 WWE SmackDown

On today’s SmackDown episode LA Knight, AJ Styles and Randy Orton faced in a triple threat match announced on December 18th episode of SmackDown to determine the No. 1 contender for Roman Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Royal Rumble 2024.

The match went on for more than 25 minutes, and it was called off after Roman Reigns, along with The Bloodline, came to the ring and started attacking Knight. He tried to fight back, but Reigns landed a Superman punch on Knight, causing him to bleed. His face was fully covered in blood, and Reigns further executed a devastating spear on Knight.

The match was intense, and all the superstars gave their best to earn a shot at the Head of the Table. There were many near falls, with Orton hitting an RKO on Knight and Styles landing a Phenomenal Forearm on Orton. However, none of the superstars managed to secure a pin. Knight came close to victory by executing his move, the “BFT,” on Randy Orton, but Styles cleverly prevented the third count by holding the hands of the referee.

Although Knight has lost most of his matches, he has been gaining popularity and fan support on SmackDown. He also made history by teaming up with John Cena to face The Bloodline, on a Smackdown episode. With his incredible Mic skills and his signature exclamation, “Yeah!”, he has become one the most popular wrestlers in recent times.

LA Knight to face Roman Reigns, Randy Orton and AJ Styles

The climax of the today’s Friday Night SmackDown took an unexpected turn as the General Manager of SmackDown, Nick Aldis officially announced a Fatal Four way match between LA Knight, Randy Orton, Roman Reigns and Randy Orton.

The match is set to take place at Royal Rumble on January 27 and for the first time since Crown Jewel 2023, the WWE Undisputed Championship is on the line. Reigns defeated LA Knight at the Crown Jewel to retain the title. The match has created a huge expectation among the fans as this is the first time Reigns is set to defend his title in a fatal 4 way match.

Some fans speculate that this fatal four way match can cause these superstars to miss the 30 man Royal Rumble match, from which the winner gets an opportunity to main event Wrestemania. With CM Punk, Cody Rhodes have already declared their entry in the Rumble Match, the inclusion of this fatal four way match has made the event to be the greatest Royal Rumble of all time
