The GOAT debate has been going on for a long time with NBA fans, players, and analysts all arguing about who the best player to ever grace the basketball court is. Is it the legendary Michael Jordan or is it the time-defying basketball maestro LeBron James?

While it is an ongoing debate, a large portion have unwavering opinions on the debate and Larry Bird, one of the most famous players to play in the league, has his vote locked on one of the two greats.

While the Celtics superstars has won numerous accolades over time, he still, to this day, remains as the only player to have won the Rookie of the Year, the Most Valuable Player, the MVP of the NBA Finals, the MVP of the All-Star Game, the Coach of the Year, and the Executive of the Year. With such a track record, the weight of Bird’s opinion is really high and needs to be accounted for.

Very recently, the three-time NBA champion passed his verdict in the Michael Jordan vs LeBron James debate, outrightly proclaiming a singular winner. According to Bird, LeBron James is far ahead and should be considered the as the greatest player of all-time.

Hailing LeBron’s stardom and prowess as a player, Bird said, “I tell everybody quit whining about LeBron, he’s unbelievable. He’s one of the greatest if not the greatest ever.”

Bird has consistently lauded LeBron James for his exceptional talent in elevating his teammates’ performances, and as a result, he has been reluctant to trade for LeBron’s teammates. Bird believes that LeBron’s presence brings out the best in his fellow players, thus not accurately reflecting their individual abilities to perform independently.

This season, LeBron James has continued to defy expectations by leading the Lakers and delivering outstanding performances for the Purple and Gold, despite various challenges.

Warriors power forward Draymond Green has always been an ardent supporter of LeBron James. Recently, Green commended LeBron, and his own Warriors teammate, Stephen Curry, asserting that both the superstars had completed their time in the league in the most royal way possible.

According to Green, LeBron James and Curry had nothing more left to prove to the league or the fans and had cemented their legacy in the world of basketball with their exceptional skills and talents that will never be forgotten.

While Curry has totally revolutionized how the sport is being played, LeBron James has inspired millions of fans around the world, as well as current youngsters in the league to work hard to achieve their goals and dreams.

With each passing season, LeBron is defying time, effortlessly dominating the basketball court with his mesmerizing attributes that have played a huge part in where the Los Angeles Lakers are today. This season the superstar is averaging 24.8 points per game, along with 7.8 assists and 7.2 rebounds, groundbreaking numbers for a 39-year-old in the NBA.

Currently, King James is just a measly 132 points away from reaching the massive feat of reaching 40,000 career points which will make him the first player in league history to ever reach the landmark.
