LeBron James confronts Tony Brothers after Giannis Antetokounmpo scores controversial bucket

Whenever LeBron James is around the courtside, entertainment follows. The arguable GOAT of the game might not be in the game, but he never misses to leave a mark under the spotlight.

LeBron missed Tuesday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks due to his ankle injury, but he did not miss an opportunity to contribute to the action-filled thriller of a game. With the regular season winding down to its last paces, every win matters for the Lakers, and King James’ court-side shenanigans provided his team with just that.

LeBron James questions ref after Giannis Antetokounmpo’s controversial bucket

During the final minutes of the fourth quarter, when the Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo scored a basket tying the score 101 each, the Lakers great, who seems to have a power on the game officials, started complaining to Tony Brothers. LBJ pointed out that Giannis travelled with the ball before scoring over Jaxson Hayes.

This is certainly not the first time that the 4-time NBA champion was seen complaining to the game officials regarding the on-court decisions. Maybe that played a part as the referee took no action despite LeBron raising the issue.

The Bucks were leading by 16 points in the first quarter but the Lakers were quick to catch on over the next three quarters without their key player LBJ. The game rolled on to the overtime after Giannis’ controversial bucket tied the scores. However, that didn’t stop the 20-time All-Star from distracting the “Greek Freak.”

LeBron James caught mocking Giannis Antetokounmpo in the sidelines

The Lakers showed their hunger for the offseason tournaments by putting up a stellar show, winning by 128-124 over the second-seeded Eastern team without LeBron James who was occupied in mocking Giannis Antetokounmpo from the sidelines. Despite their previous show of mutual respect, when the game is on the line, all tricks seem to come out of the bag.

Despite the majority’s disapproval of the Bucks’ title credentials, the Milwaukee side is one of the form teams in the league. The Lakers found that out first-hand during their game Tuesday night.

With 24.2 seconds remaining of the double overtime, the Greek-Nigerian forward failed to convert a free throw shot into a basket, all thanks to LeBron and his court-side antics. King James’ countdown from the sidelines seemed to have pressurized the Milwaukee star who went on to miss the free throw and the game finished with Bron’s side having the last laugh.

The Bleacher Report shared a post on their Instagram handle showing what LBJ did during the free throw, where the 39-year-old commented, “And he did get it off on time! Almost had him there though.”

LeBron is expected to return to the floor in the Lakers’ next game against the Grizzlies on Wednesday where he will be able to show some of his antics on the court.
