Sean Strickland reveals the problem preventing him to accept Jake Paul’s challenge

Sean Strickland, the former UFC middleweight champion, accepted the challenge to fight a crossover boxing star. The challenge came after Paul came to notice Strickland’s brutal sparring with popular streamer Sneako at the UFC PI. Even though Strickland accepted the challenge, he revealed that his contract with the UFC would result in a lawsuit if he ever fought Paul.

“I think the UFC would fucking sue the fuck out of me if I do that but yes I’d do that in a heartbeat,” Sean Strickland replied to the challenge from Jake Paul to Kick streamer Vitaly at Power Slap 6. Strickland, along with many notable celebrities was at Power Slap 6, the first event of the Power Slap outside the UFC Apex.

Strickland had a controversial interaction with popular rapper Machine Gun Kelly at the event, expressing his belief that the rapper resembled a vampire. Machine Gun Kelly had previously clashed with ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor.

Sean Strickland’s death threat to Jake Paul

Sean Strickland had earlier provided a stern response to Jake Paul on X after ‘The Problem Child’ criticized Strickland’s inability to knockout Sneako during sparring. “Real talk… jokes aside.. Jake Paul is an utter fucking joke….. You box small retired old mma fighters and you sell sugar water to kids,” Strickland tweeted on X criticizing the boxing acumen of Paul.

“f it were legal I’d take your fucking life with a smile on my face. Is there any place on this earth I can take this man’s life and walk?” Strickland further added vowing to ‘murder’ Paul.

Paul had earlier tweeted, “Shawn Strickland, you’re embarrassing for trying to stop Sneako like that. You weren’t even able to drop someone with no experience while going all out 😅 You’re a horrid boxer that only picks on inexperienced people,” much to the dismay of Strickland.

Paul, who recently defeated Andre Auguts via first-round KO, is scheduled to box Ryan Bourland in the co-main event of the upcoming Amanda Serrano vs Nina Meinke PPV. He will also make an appearance at the Paris Olympics 2024 with Team USA Boxing as part of the new deal he signed.
