Bayley convinced of future match with Mercedes Mone

The rivalry between Bayley and Mercedes Mone in WWE is considered one of the greatest in women’s wrestling history, as they have delivered some of the best matches and stories in the industry. Both superstars are known for delivering high-quality matches every time they face off in the WWE ring.

In a recent interview, Bayley spoke about the possibility of having one more match with Mone. She said, “We’ll always be destined for one more match. Our next match will never be our last. We’re ‘The Brooklyn Girls’. We’re going to live on forever because of that match, and it’s something we can carry on forever.”

Their rivalry began in NXT when Bayley was the underdog babyface and Mone was the arrogant and vicious heel. They had a classic match at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn in 2015, followed by another epic match at NXT TakeOver: Respect, where they both main evented the show in a 30-minute Iron Man match.

Recently, Sasha Banks and Bayley were spotted together at TNA’s Hard to Kill pay-per-view, which took place on January 13, 2024. Still, there is no confirmation about Mone returning to WWE, Bayley’s words have created some hope to see the Boss sooner in WWE.

Bayley expecting career-defining 2024

In the same interview, Bayley spoke up about her future plans in WWE and confirmed that 2024 will be the defining year of her career. She said, “My character changes have always aligned with how I feel in my life and with how my character is developing. The Hugger stuff, people watched me grow up. This year is going to be the one that defines my career. It will define who I am & what I’ve brought to the wrestling industry.”

Bayley spoke about her old gimmick, ‘The Hugger’, on which she used to wore colorful attire and was on one of the top baby face of WWE. Bayley made a shocking twist in 2019, when she turned from a fan-favorite babyface to a heel.

Her new character received more hatred when she joined the Damage CTRL and went against Team Flair at the Survivor Series War Games Match along with Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky, Kairi Sane, and Asuka.

She confirmed that the Hugger character was loved by people and also teased her return as the Hugger in upcoming days. The WWE fans also expect her to leave the Damage CTRL and comeback to WWE as the beloved Hugger.
