It came as a surprise to many when they saw Rhodes featured in an upcoming video-game-based anime series by Netflix titled “Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix“. The upcoming anime series featuring Cody Rhodes will be released on October 19, 2023. On the social media platform X, The American Nightmare uploaded a trailer for the anime to generate hype for his latest appearance.

This anime series is based on the popular game, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. It is created by Adi Shankar, who was quite popular for his time as the showrunner in the animated Castlevania. He was also an executive producer for a number of movies, including 2012’s Dredd. In the trailer for the upcoming series, we are introduced to the world of Captain Laserhawk, as it was described as “A VHS full of lasers, video games… and a frog assassin! It’s time to join the revolution with Dolph Laserhawk and free the citizens of Eden!”.
