Jon Moxley labels BCC partner Bryan Danielson “the best pure pro wrestler who ever lived”

Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson are both former WWE stars who found tremendous success in the Stamford-based promotion. Both of them eventually moved on from the company and joined AEW and became top stars in the promotion. To this day, Moxley has revealed that he has nothing but love for Danielson and named him the greatest pro wrestler that ever lived.

Jon Moxley was one of AEW’s founding superstars and joined the company after leaving WWE in 2019. He quickly rose to the top and became one of the greatest superstars of the promotion. Moxley had a lot of high profile matches in AEW, particularly with Bryan Danielson, who joined the company in 2021 after his contract expired with WWE. After having a fantastic singles match, the two men were paired together and became one of the most dominant groups of the promotion.

Jon Moxley labels Bryan Danielson “the best pure pro wrestler who ever lived”

Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley have been a part of a group ever since their clash at AEW Revolution 2022 when William Regal brought them together. The three of them formed a group named the Blackpool Combat Club, which later added Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta. Despite Regal’s departure from AEW in 2022, Moxley and Danielson continue to be the driving forces of the group.

Speaking with Rick Ucchino of Bleav Pro Wrestling, Moxley talked about his relationship with Danielson. Apparently Moxley holds him in extremely high regard and considers him to be the ‘greatest pro wrestler that has ever lived’.

“Bryan, I consider maybe just the greatest pro wrestler that ever lived. Which is a very humbling thing that I get to say that, I get to be tag partners with him and work with him. To have somebody like that on your side, to bounce ideas off of it to play that Regal role and tell you this sucks or whatever, or change that, that’s an immense tool, that I don’t take for granted, that I have in my toolbox that I get to pick his brain. Bryan is like the greatest pure pro wrestler of all time. He’s just the most perfect pure wrestler that’s ever lived. I’ve taken a great deal of influence from him, as I’m sure many pro wrestlers have”, said Jon Moxley in the interview.

Moxley finishes 3rd behind ex-Shield buddies on in PWI top 500 list

The Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s 500 list this year was topped by WWE’s World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins. Behind him on the #2 and #3 position were Undisputed WWE Champion Roman Reigns and AEW star Jon Moxley(formerly known as Dean Ambrose).

This year’s PWI list saw all three members of The Shield top the chart. It is an incredible accomplishment for the three men, who once used to be brothers in the faction. After reuniting and splitting up for the final time in 2019 before Moxley’s departure from the company, the three superstars found tremendous success on their own. As mentioned before, Seth Rollins is the World Heavyweight Champion, while Roman Reigns is the Undisputed and longest-reigning Universal Champion in WWE. On the other hand, Jon Moxley is a three-time AEW World Champion and current International Champion.

Fans are happy for all the three members of The Shield, who topped the PWI list this year and hope to see them on top in the coming years.
