LA Knight return update: reviewing the latest buzz surrounding the Megastar’s SmackDown appearance

Last week, LA Knight was supposed to be a part of a huge segment of SmackDown with John Cena. However, he was pulled from the show after getting tested positive for COVID-19. According to latest updates, the Megastar is reportedly in good health now and is ready to make his televised return to the blue brand.

LA Knight and John Cena crossed paths for the first time during Payback earlier this month. Cena served as the guest referee for Knight’s match against The Miz, which the Megastar ultimately won. Although, at the time, it seemed like he wanted no involvement with The Cenation Leader, recent reports have confirmed that the two were scheduled to be part of a segment together last week.

LA Knight reportedly returning on SmackDown following week of absence

On last week’s edition of SmackDown, AJ Styles reunited with John Cena in the ring as the duo fended off an attack by Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. Styles and Cena were supposed to sign a contract later that night to face Uso and Sikoa at the upcoming Fastlane event. However, The Phenomenal One was brutally attacked by The Enforcer of The Bloodline backstage, as Sikoa sent Styles off in an ambulance.

Later that night, when Cena confronted The Bloodline members in the ring, he was attacked by the duo as well. In this segment, it was originally planned for LA Knight to come out and save The Cenation Leader from the attack. He was then supposed to be revealed as John Cena’s tag team partner for Fastlane against The Bloodline. However, plans changed when Knight reportedly caught COVID-19 and was removed from the show as a result.

According to the latest reports by PWInsider, sources close to WWE reported that The Megastar is scheduled to make his return to the blue brand this week in Sacramento, CA. This most likely means that LA Knight has recovered from the deadly virus.

LA Knight leaves The Rock behind on YT

In the past, LA Knight has been compared to The Rock, mainly due to the similarities in their voices. Currently, both are the top superstars of WWE, with Knight being in the peak of his career. For quite some time now, The Megastar has been getting huge reactions from the crowd.

On the other hand, The Rock received a thunderous pop from the WWE fans when he made his return to the blue brand couple of weeks ago. The video of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s recent return to WWE after years of hiatus gained over 1.4 million views in just 12 days.

However at the same time, a video of LA Knight, where he could be seen teaching his catchphrase to Cinnamoji has already gained 1.8 million views in just 6 days. This goes to show that Knight’s popularity is at an all-time high at the moment, as his video surpassed The Rock’s return.

With LA Knight making his televised return to SmackDown tonight, fans are eager to see whether he ends up teaming up with John Cena. Stay tuned for further updates.
