Stone Cold’s action scene with Sylvester Stallone led to the actor going through multiple surgeries

Famous for his thrilling performances, Sylvester Stallone often executes feats himself. However, Stallone had to undergo seven operations in 2010 while shooting “The Expendables” because he broke his neck while rehearsing a scene with Stone Cold Steve Austin, who portrayed the movie’s antagonist.

Stallone advised actors not to attempt their own stunts, revealing that his body never fully recovered from the injuries sustained during the filming of “The Expendables.” Despite his legendary image as an action hero, Stallone confessed to a history of recklessness with wrestling greats that left him with lasting injuries.

Stallone spoke out about his struggle with the injuries he sustained while filming The Expendables in season two of his family series, The Family Stallone. In a funny statement, Stallone said that he is prepared to reprise the role of Quasimodo in a reimagining of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, despite having had seven surgeries on his back.

Every time Stallone had surgery, his wife Jennifer Flavin said, it was a terrifying moment for the whole family. He blamed the intense action sequences he shot with Steve for the physical damage he suffered.

The Hollywood star noted, “I did stupid stuff. I was directing ‘Expendables’ and, like an idiot, I’m doing take 10, take whatever, and I remember one slam, and I could actually feel one bang. Steve knew. I never recovered from ‘Expendables 1.’ After that film, it was never physically the same. I’ve warned people: Don’t do your own stunts.”

Stone Cold once broke Paul Lazenby’s nose on set

Cold as ice, Not only did Steve Austin damage Sylvester Stallone’s back while working on Set, but he also shattered his co-star’s nose by mistake when working on another picture called “Damage.”

Austin was distressed by the encounter and apologized heavily, even though he was a professional wrestler who was used to aggressive confrontations. While filming “Damaged,” in which Austin’s wrestling persona is on full display as John Bricker, stuntman Paul Lazenby disclosed the nose-breaking event.

Even Austin himself admitted to the occurrence, characterizing the filming as an educational and entertaining adventure. They kept shooting and later laughed about how Austin poked Lazenby’s nose accidentally during a fight sequence. Even though he was miserable, Austin complimented Lazenby on his professionalism and toughness.

Oh, hi, this is Md Robin Ahmed, a WWE fan and I everyday go through a slew of popular WWE stories on Sportszion. Watching Big Show's Showstopper was the beginning of my passion for WWE, though I have to say that his Chokeslam is not one of my favorite moves. Over time, my love for professional wrestling has intensified, mostly due to the Shield, and my all-time favorite wrestler in WWE is Big Dog. I would give everything to be able to be within a few feet of him to witness his iconic Superman Punch and Spear. My major is engineering, but I'm most happy when I'm doing something artistic that doesn't put me under any pressure. Watching them wrestle and discuss their matches is always fun for me. And I've finally discovered a career that gives me fun since it allows me to with my dream heroes lifestyle. So, Welcome! I'd love to hear from you on LinkedIn and Facebook.
