Tony Khan on MJF’s AEW status: I would love to get him back here soon

MJF, since his title loss back in December 2023 at AEW Worlds End, is yet to appear on any Wrestling show. His contract expired in January after working with the Jacksonville-based company for 5 years and as of now, there is no confirmation if he signed a new contract or not.

When asked about MJF’S status at the AEW Dynasty media scrum, Tony Khan showed optimism and said, “MJF, one of the biggest stars in AEW, we haven’t seen him in recent months, and I would love to get MJF back here soon, sooner than later, really soon.”

While the AEW supremo did not specify if and when the former champion would return, his comment seemingly indicated that MJF had re-signed with the promotion and given MJF and Tony Khan’s close relationship, it would not be a shocker.

TK was not the only one to comment on MJF’s return. A top name in AEW also addressed the suspense surrounding the 28-year-old.

AEW star discusses MJF’s potential return

Ricky Starks recently talked to Sportskeeda about MJF’s return and said that he often talks to Max but won’t be providing any details. He added that MJF is in good spirits and will make a return to pro wrestling soon. “I don’t think MJF can stay away from the spotlight too long, I’m sure he will pop up very soon,” said a confident Ricky Starks.

The two men have a history together as they were intertwined in a feud in 2022 that solidified both performers as the top names in the company.

After Adam Cole’s betrayal at AEW Worlds End, MJF was removed from the AEW roster, and it was reported that he would be taking time off to heal from his injuries. With rumors of WWE swirling around, it will be a gripping occasion when MJF makes his return, be it at AEW or elsewhere.
