Adam Pierce announces huge matches for WWE RAW featuring Jey Uso, Sami Zayn

As the week leading up to WrestleMania 40 draws near, WWE Raw keeps enticing viewers with its rapidly developing storylines and announcements of upcoming matches. In the same vein, the forthcoming Mania second go-home RAW will undoubtedly boost hype for the Show Of Shows, given the announcement of three unpredicted singles matchups made by RAW GM Adam Pierce.

With these additional developments, the existing strong buzz around the bloodline tale and the Intercontinental Championship will hopefully be fueled even more for WM 40.

Adam Pierce announces three singles match for WWE RAW

On the road to WrestleMania XL, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce shared some exciting news from WWE’s live event in Springfield. Before his announcement, fans were already geared up for JD McDonagh vs. Ricochet and Ivy Nile vs. Candice LeRae.

All of this is taking place at the same time with CM Punk making his comeback to WWE screens. But that’s not all! To further heighten the excitement for the major event, Pierce announced three additional matches on WWE’s official Twitter.

Highlights include Andrade’s return to the action after a hiatus from March 4. Sami Zayn vs. ‘Big’ Bronson Reed, Andrade vs. Ivar, and a huge feud between Shinsuke Nakamura and Jey Uso among the matchups scheduled for the March 25 RAW. These new additions will be part of an explosive RAW program for the go-home edition leading up to WrestleMania 40. Furthermore, with Sami Zayn in the mix, perhaps a WrestleMania Intercontinental Championship bout with Gunther may materialize.

Meanwhile, fans are excitedly anticipating the appearance of CM Punk among all these match cards—even if he is not really booked for a bout. Speculation is rife that Punk might reveal his WrestleMania role during the next Monday Night WWE RAW. If he ends up commentating at the main Mania event, it wouldn’t be shocking.

CM Punk to return on WWE RAW next week

Even before he injured himself at the Royal Rumble, CM Punk had a big plot planned: he would fight Seth Rollins at WrestleMania after winning the Elimination Chamber. But Drew McIntyre benched Punk with a torn tricep and stepped in to fill his shoes. Punk’s potential involvement at WrestleMania is not completely out of the question, since he appeared a few times with injury in between the events.

On the March 25 episode of WWE Raw, the Second City Saint will return to WWE igniting speculation surrounding his WrestleMania role. Fans can’t wait to know Punk’s next move now that WWE has confirmed he will be at his hometown, Allstate Arena in Chicago. It’s been said that “The Best in the World” could be a special guest referee in a title match or he could join the live commentary team.

No matter what unfolds, RAW ticket sales are soaring because anticipation is over the roof. How much are you excited to know about CM Punk’s role in WrestleMania 40? Share your thoughts in the comment section.

Oh, hi, this is Md Robin Ahmed, a WWE fan and I everyday go through a slew of popular WWE stories on Sportszion. Watching Big Show's Showstopper was the beginning of my passion for WWE, though I have to say that his Chokeslam is not one of my favorite moves. Over time, my love for professional wrestling has intensified, mostly due to the Shield, and my all-time favorite wrestler in WWE is Big Dog. I would give everything to be able to be within a few feet of him to witness his iconic Superman Punch and Spear. My major is engineering, but I'm most happy when I'm doing something artistic that doesn't put me under any pressure. Watching them wrestle and discuss their matches is always fun for me. And I've finally discovered a career that gives me fun since it allows me to with my dream heroes lifestyle. So, Welcome! I'd love to hear from you on LinkedIn and Facebook.
