CM Punk still waiting for fan-favorite WWE faction to accept application: “Haven’t heard anything yet”

Parties within professional wrestling provide an interesting dynamic, with wrestlers banding together for shared objectives or to cause mayhem. The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has a long and illustrious history of great factions, and today, the emphasis is on a women’s organization that CM Punk found interesting.

A recent fun move on social media was made by CM Punk, who does not shy away from venturing into new territories. He wanted to join the SmackDown faction and submitted his “application” in response to a group picture that included Bayley and Damage CTRL.

CM Punk still waiting to join Damage CTRL

The crowd went wild when CM Punk made a surprising return to WWE. Punk, who is famously lighthearted, didn’t spend any time amusing his audience despite the strain. In addition to making fans laugh, his latest remark may have hinted at some exciting future possibilities in WWE.

A famous group in WWE led by Bayley, Damage CTRL, had the remark appear beneath one of their posts. They made their debut at the 2022 SummerSlam and have been a major heel stable ever since.

Along with other members of Damage CTRL, group leader Bayley just posted an Instagram photo to which Punk commented, “I sent in my application to join but haven’t heard anything yet.”

As someone who has been a member of four different groups in the past, Punk’s statement brings a lighthearted element to the continuing friendship among wrestlers. By highlighting the lighter side of wrestlers’ interactions off the mat, CM Punk brings a sense of comedy to the wrestling world.

CM Punk and Bayley’s friendship outside WWE ring

Though Bayley is friendly with CM Punk’s wife AJ Lee, she recently said in an interview that she is thrilled about CM Punk’s unexpected return to WWE. This means that she is close with both CM Punk and his wife. But even though she was close with CM Punk’s family, she was unaware of the return.

Bayley was both surprised and excited when she heard Punk’s music and saw his reappearance on the WWE Survivor Series monitor. Recalling the exuberant scene, Bayley emphasized Punk’s radiant happiness as she jumped into the Gorilla position to welcome him.

Bayley talked about how strange it was to have Punk backstage, focusing on how happy he was and how warm his hugs were. Bayley jokingly asked whether AJ Lee would come along, despite how much fun it was to have Punk around. The interview beautifully portrayed the genuine emotion and strong bond among the wrestlers.

Oh, hi, this is Md Robin Ahmed, a WWE fan and I everyday go through a slew of popular WWE stories on Sportszion. Watching Big Show's Showstopper was the beginning of my passion for WWE, though I have to say that his Chokeslam is not one of my favorite moves. Over time, my love for professional wrestling has intensified, mostly due to the Shield, and my all-time favorite wrestler in WWE is Big Dog. I would give everything to be able to be within a few feet of him to witness his iconic Superman Punch and Spear. My major is engineering, but I'm most happy when I'm doing something artistic that doesn't put me under any pressure. Watching them wrestle and discuss their matches is always fun for me. And I've finally discovered a career that gives me fun since it allows me to with my dream heroes lifestyle. So, Welcome! I'd love to hear from you on LinkedIn and Facebook.
