Rhea Ripley labels Becky Lynch a “forever runner up” right after her World Title win on Raw

Rhea Ripley’s shoulder injury forced her to vacate the Women’s World Championship following an assault by Liv Morgan in the locker room. Reluctantly giving up her title, the stage was set for last night’s battle royal where Becky Lynch crowned the belt, becoming a seven-time champion. The newly crowned champion immediately caught the attention of Mami.

Becky Lynch has been pursuing the championship for a long time and had her chance against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 40 but fell short. Her long wait was finally over last night on RAW when Lynch won the title after a tough fight. It may have seemed simpler with Ripley currently out of the picture, but the competition was far from easy.

So, Mami didn’t hold back her thoughts on social media. She took to Twitter and boldly commented on Lynch’s win, calling her “The forever runner up and the interim champ.”

It’s evident from Ripley’s post that she sees Becky Lynch as a temporary champion until she returns to WWE. However, given that Lynch’s victory in the Battle Royal can’t be overlooked. Upon winning the vacant Women’s World title, she issued a statement on her social media handle.

Becky Lynch speaks out after clinching Women’s World title

Michael Cole brought attention to the fact that this was the fourth occurrence in history when a world champion was decided by a conventional battle royal. Given this rarity, Becky Lynch’s victory is undoubtedly a spectacular achievement.

She quickly took to the X social media platform to share her excitement about her monumental win. She noted, “The Man is back where she belongs, as your Women’s World Champion.”

Oh, hi, this is Md Robin Ahmed, a WWE fan and I everyday go through a slew of popular WWE stories on Sportszion. Watching Big Show's Showstopper was the beginning of my passion for WWE, though I have to say that his Chokeslam is not one of my favorite moves. Over time, my love for professional wrestling has intensified, mostly due to the Shield, and my all-time favorite wrestler in WWE is Big Dog. I would give everything to be able to be within a few feet of him to witness his iconic Superman Punch and Spear. My major is engineering, but I'm most happy when I'm doing something artistic that doesn't put me under any pressure. Watching them wrestle and discuss their matches is always fun for me. And I've finally discovered a career that gives me fun since it allows me to with my dream heroes lifestyle. So, Welcome! I'd love to hear from you on LinkedIn and Facebook.
