Roman Reigns potentially to break massive Hulk Hogan record at WrestleMania 40

Roman Reigns is currently having an impressive run in WWE that has left most fans in awe. He has been the company’s longest-reigning champion and has held the Universal Championship title since the summer of 2020. Along the way, he also picked up the WWE title and merged them to become the Undisputed Champion.

Given the current circumstances, it is unlikely that Reigns will lose his title before WrestleMania 40, as he is set to appear in the main event. Therefore, there is now another incredible record that Reigns is poised to break in 2024.

Roman Reigns can break Hulk Hogan’s WrestleMania record

Roman Reigns has been featured in seven WrestleMania main events throughout his career. He appeared in four consecutive WrestleMania main events, from WrestleMania 31 to WrestleMania 34, facing off against Brock Lesnar, Triple H, The Undertaker, and Lesnar again.

After a change in his character, Reigns went on to attend three more WrestleMania events in a row. These included WrestleMania 37, where he took on Edge and Daniel Bryan; WrestleMania 38, where he faced Brock Lesnar; and WrestleMania 39, where he successfully defended his Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes. It’s worth noting that Reigns held the Universal Championship for all three of these WrestleMania appearances. Now, he is set to face Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40.

Currently, Reigns has participated in seven WrestleMania main events, which is the same number of times Triple H has closed the show. Hulk Hogan is the only wrestler who has appeared in more WrestleMania main events than Reigns, having headlined every WrestleMania except for WrestleMania 4 from the first show to the ninth.

The Tribal Chief will match Hulk Hogan’s record in the upcoming WrestleMania 40. Reigns will be the first wrestler to compete in eight WrestleMania main events after Hogan, which is a significant achievement.

Roman Reigns and the Rock’s segment led to changes on SmackDown

New information has been revealed about WWE SmackDown, which aired on March 1. The Bloodline started the show with a double segment featuring Roman Reigns and The Rock. However, The Rock’s segment went significantly over the allotted time, which caused the show’s producers to make immediate adjustments to keep the rest of the show on schedule.

During the double segment of Bloodline, Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, Jimmy Uso, and Solo Sikoa made their entrance. Later, The Rock joined the group in the ring, and Cody Rhodes challenged him to a one-on-one match. The Rock then responded with his challenge for a tag-team match at WrestleMania. Although there was some tension between the top stars, Reigns asked The Rock to acknowledge him as Tribal Chief, which he ultimately did.

According to a report from “Fightful Select,” The Rock’s segment on the WWE show ran for over ten minutes longer than scheduled. As a result, WWE had to cut several things from the show, including Naomi’s entrance for her match against Tiffany Stratton. It was planned to have two full segments for the match, but due to the time constraint, it was cut short. The match only ran for nine minutes, including commercials, from entrance to finish.
