The Rock announces collaboration with country musician Chris Janson

The Rock remains one of the biggest draws of WWE and WrestleMania 40 proved that once again. Following his failed attempt to stop Cody Rhodes from finishing his story, The Rock announced he would be taking time off from WWE programming due to his commitments to life outside WWE.

In the meantime, the “Final Boss” is out there completing side quests and one of them was hinted at via his social media handle. The Rock disclosed his collaboration for a new song titled, “Watcha See Is Whatcha Get” by Country musician, Chris Janson.

Announcing it to his millions of followers, Dwayne Johnson wrote, “I’ve Chris for a few years now and not only did we immediately bond over our love for country music, but more importantly, Chris is a good, kind hearted man who works his butt off to take care of his family and take care of his fans!”

The song is set to release on Chris Hanson’s YouTube channel on Friday, 10:00 ET. The project did not come out of the blue though. The collab was reported by Audacy, earlier this year when the “Good Vibes” singer revealed the WWE star’s involvement in the project.

This is not the first time that The Rock has channelled his inner musician. He has previously used his voice in multiple songs; “Face-off” by Tech Nine and “You’re Welcome” which was used in the animated movie “Moana” are the noteworthy ones. That’s about his life outside WWE, but what is next for him in WWE?

The Rock’s future with WWE

The “People’s Champ” recently provided a health update following his grueling WrestleMania match and revealed that he would be returning for WrestleMania 41. Triple H also talked about his return, hence there is certainty of seeing the “Brahma Bull” back in the ring again.

With the trouble brewing in the Bloodline and Roman Reigns absent, who is also committed to a Hollywood project, it will be interesting to see what is down the line for the Samoan dynasty. But whatever happens, the son of the high chief, The Rock, will have a big say in it.
