Logan Paul reveals “it took a little massaging” to get WWE’s agreement over IShowSpeed’s WrestleMania 40 appearance

Logan Paul arguably scored his biggest win against two future Hall of Famers, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 40. The triple threat match was one of the main attractions of night 2 of WM 40, but someone unexpectedly crashed the party. The party-crasher was none other than internet sensation, IShowSpeed.

The Cristiano Ronaldo superfan and viral content creator was revealed to be the Prime bottle accompanying Logan Paul. To get him there, “the Maverick” had to put the case forward to WWE management. Talking on his “Impaulsive” podcast, Paul said, “When I was pitching him to the WWE, it took a little massaging. It took a little finessing for us to convince them that we had this young creator, who is still a teenager, he’s 19, who is just an internet phenom. Everything he touches goes crazy viral because he has that charismatic, contagious energy.”

The idea certainly was a hit for WWE as the footage of Randy Orton RKOing Speed went viral on social media. For his troubles, IShowSpeed was duly rewarded by the US Champion with a Tesla Cybertruck as the interference helped Logan Paul retain his title, displeasing the live crowd. But a figure in WWE is delighted with Paul’s win and has heaped praises on the YouTuber.

Logan Paul impresses Corey Graves with WrestleMania performance

One of the WWE personnel hailing Logan Paul for his WrestleMania performance is SmackDown commentator Corey Graves. Speaking on The Gunz Show, Graves revealed his skeptical view of Logan Paul when he came in which was shared by many in the locker room. He said, “I think the world of Logan Paul, and I admit I was as guilty as probably many of the guys and girls in the locker room. ‘What is this? He’s going to come in and take somebody’s spot. Somebody is not going to be part of WrestleMania because of this influencer.'”

He further added how Logan Paul has proved them wrong, including him, and revealed his appreciation for the 29-year-old “anomaly”. “What Logan Paul has done has shown the world and continues to prove to the world that he is who he says he is,” said Graves.

For now, WWE has no opponent for Logan Paul, but given his unfinished business with Randy Orton and with WWE Backlash next month, we can get a clue about it on Friday night.
