The Rock at WrestleMania: How did the People’s Champ fare on WWE’s grandest stage over the years?

No one is paying attention to anything other than the WrestleMania conflict between Cody Rhodes and The Rock. Fans were taken aback when Cody Rhodes unexpectedly withdrew from the Universal Championship bout, allowing The Rock to step in. Given The Great One’s legendary wrestling background, WrestleMania has always had a special meaning for him.

This year is his 12th WrestleMania participation, adding to his eleven previous outings with 6-5. A single victory in the WrestleMania main event is all that The Rock has to show to become the new Tribal Chief. Now everyone is waiting to see whether he can beat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania this year and extend his winning streak.

What is The Rock’s win-loss record at WrestleMania?

“Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has permanently altered the landscape of professional wrestling. Becoming one of the most adored figures in the sport, he rose from modest origins. The Rock’s rise from relative obscurity to legendary status is an inspiration.

Attempting to forge his own path while honoring his family’s wrestling heritage was a challenge for Dwayne Johnson in his WWE debut. He initially suffered from competition from more well-known performers, but he persisted and displayed his athleticism and personality. The Rock rose to fame because of his endearing charisma, which won over followers over the years.

The Rock’s path to WrestleMania is remarkable. In his three encounters with Great Stone Cold, he has only managed to win one main event. His feuds with Steve Austin defined a wrestling era and went down in history. However, his WrestleMania record was mixed since plot twists sometimes resulted in surprising endings.

The Rock defeated John Cena at WrestleMania in his native Miami, Florida, after an eleven-year absence. A “Twice In A Lifetime” fight with Cena and his following fights demonstrated his evergreen presence. With a victory against Erick Rowan in his last WrestleMania match in 2016, the People’s Champion ended his legendary wrestling career on a strong note.

After a brief absence, he returned last year, making short but impactful appearances. Despite skipping the Royal Rumble challenge, he’s now confirmed for WrestleMania 40. Fans are eagerly anticipating the next chapter in the journey of the Great One.

Backstage update on the Rocks’ WM 40 availability

Many WWE fans are unhappy that The Rock will battle Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 instead of Cody Rhodes. It seems that the addition of Dwayne Johnson to the TKO board sealed the deal. He is widely believed to be facing off against Roman Reigns, however, no official announcement has been made about the fight just yet.

Fans may be rooting for Cody Rhodes, but WWE is likely to stand by their choice. Rhodes’ dream of facing Reigns to finish his story at WrestleMania was dashed when sources of PWinsider confirmed The Rock’s presence.

WrestleOps tweeted, “PWlnsider reports that The Rock is 100% performing in the ring at #WrestleMania 40. That it’s a done deal & likely something that was contractually locked in as one of the milestones Rock would be involved in as part of his TKO Board of Directors deal.”

Fans will be most disappointed this year if Cody Rhodes does not face Big Dog at WrestleMania. If there was a way to please the crowd, it would be a Triple Threat match. We will have to see what WWE decides now. Share your thoughts in the comment section.

Oh, hi, this is Md Robin Ahmed, a WWE fan and I everyday go through a slew of popular WWE stories on Sportszion. Watching Big Show's Showstopper was the beginning of my passion for WWE, though I have to say that his Chokeslam is not one of my favorite moves. Over time, my love for professional wrestling has intensified, mostly due to the Shield, and my all-time favorite wrestler in WWE is Big Dog. I would give everything to be able to be within a few feet of him to witness his iconic Superman Punch and Spear. My major is engineering, but I'm most happy when I'm doing something artistic that doesn't put me under any pressure. Watching them wrestle and discuss their matches is always fun for me. And I've finally discovered a career that gives me fun since it allows me to with my dream heroes lifestyle. So, Welcome! I'd love to hear from you on LinkedIn and Facebook.
