WATCH: Darby Allin’s death-defying spot during Sting’s final match at AEW Revolution leaves internet stunned

The Young Bucks were beaten by Sting and Darby Allin to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championships, making Sting’s farewell wrestling fight at AEW Revolution an unforgettable one. In addition to Sting, Darby Allin stole the show with a spectacular move.

While it was supposed to be Sting’s night, Darby Allin’s death-defying act during the fight astonished the wrestling community by taking center stage. Allin convinced everyone that he was okay after the dangerous stunt he did with the glass during the fight.

Darby Allin’s glass-shattering spot goes viral

At Revolution 2024 at the Greensboro Coliseum tonight, AEW put on an incredible wrestling exhibition. With a historic match to cap off his famous career, it was a contest that symbolized the end of an era. In his farewell fight, the 64-year-old great delivered a thrilling performance with Darby Allin, who stole the show against The Young Bucks.

Allin acted out his daredevil nature during the bout by jumping from a ladder onto a glass board outside the ring. Even though he was bleeding, he continued fighting beside Sting. Despite injuries, Allin helped Sting win and hold the AEW Tag Team Championships. Wrestling fans weren’t the only ones taken aback by his stakes; even AEW tweeted in disbelief, writing, “OH MY GOD.”

This isn’t the first time the 31-year-old superstar has stretched his wrestling boundaries. He has a history of injuries from his reckless wrestling style, including the most recent match with Sting that sent him to the doctor’s room. Despite this, Allin continues to maintain his high-flying style, by stating, “I just wanted to let people know I’m still alive.”

Fans react to Darby Allin’s moment of madness

Darby Allin is causing a stir with his own daredevil antics, much like Jeff Hardy’s famous Swanton bombs in WWE. Allin performed a Hardy-esque jump off a 20-foot ladder during a recent Tornado Tag Team fight. His unfortunate miss caused a social media frenzy when he landed on glass instead of his intended target. Comparing his move with Jeff Hardy, a fan noted, “Darby Allin somehow makes Jeff Hardy look extremely safe and grounded in comparison.”

Some fans were quite emotional, with one writing, “Thank you for all that you have done for the profession and The Stinger,” expressing gratitude for Allin’s contributions and praising his wrestling career. Others tweeted, “That’s career-ending stuff!” speculating about the impact on Allin’s career, while some voiced amazement and concern.

Some even asked, “How much did they pay this man?” referring to the seemingly reckless activity encouraged by AEW. One thing is certain, though: Allin’s boldness has sparked a discussion about wrestling safety, regardless of people’s opinions on it.

Oh, hi, this is Md Robin Ahmed, a WWE fan and I everyday go through a slew of popular WWE stories on Sportszion. Watching Big Show's Showstopper was the beginning of my passion for WWE, though I have to say that his Chokeslam is not one of my favorite moves. Over time, my love for professional wrestling has intensified, mostly due to the Shield, and my all-time favorite wrestler in WWE is Big Dog. I would give everything to be able to be within a few feet of him to witness his iconic Superman Punch and Spear. My major is engineering, but I'm most happy when I'm doing something artistic that doesn't put me under any pressure. Watching them wrestle and discuss their matches is always fun for me. And I've finally discovered a career that gives me fun since it allows me to with my dream heroes lifestyle. So, Welcome! I'd love to hear from you on LinkedIn and Facebook.
