Who is Keiji Muto hinting at a potential collaboration between WWE and Pro-Wrestling NOAH?

WWE has been ruling the pro wrestling industry as the top promotion for decades now, with a very promising roster. Unlike other small pro wrestling promotions, World Wrestling Entertainment has earned such a level of recognition by working with many international brands and companies. They have recently merged with UFC under the TKO Group Holdings.

However, Japanese wrestling legend Keiji Muto has hinted at another future collaboration between WWE and NOAH. The Great Muto will do his best to get it in the process.

Who is Keiji Muto?

Keiji Muto, better known as The Great Muta, is a retired Japanese pro wrestler and promoter. He is considered as a wrestling legend in Japan. Keiji debuted in 1988 but got fame in 1989 in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). In 1990, he got international recognition by performing as The Great Muta in New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW).

After that, he also worked in the USA, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Taiwan on several occasions. This got him a good number of fans. Keiji also promoted pro wrestling in many regions of Japan. From 2002 to 2013, Keiji was the president of All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW). After that, he joined Wrestle-1 (W-1) and acted as representative director till 2020.

Muto has also won the three major championships of puroresu. The championships are AJPW’s Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship, NJPW’s IWGP Heavyweight Championship, and NOAH’s GHC Heavyweight Championship. Despite these, he also had other titles but these three can be considered as the best title in the Japanese pro wrestling scenario. Apart from his wrestling achievements, Keiji Muto also gained the rank of Master Sergeant during his military service in Japan.

Keiji Muto hints at WWE and Pro-Wrestling NOAH collaboration

WWE Hall Of Famer Keiji Muto recently hinted at a probable collaboration between WWE and NOAH. According to a recent announcement, it was confirmed that Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown will air on ABEMA in Japan starting on October 3 and The Great Muta was an ambassador for a special broadcast that was aired on September 29.

Keiji Muto recently spoke with BBM Sports Japan. During that interview, the Japanese wrestling legend talked about the possibility of the Stamford-based promotion to working with Pro-Wrestling NOAH in the future as both are on ABEMA.

“NOAH is also ABEMA, right? It is a member of the CyberAgent Group. Now WWE is also ABEMA, so there is a possibility that something about WWE and NOAH will be born with this. Okay, next time, I’ll build that bridge. I’ll buy Triple H some sushi, and I’ll bring the receipt to ABEMA. Wrestling is all about connecting the dots to the lines,” Keiji Muto said.

Although there is no official statement regarding both promotions working together in the future.
