Breaking: Jorge Masvidal vs Nate Diaz boxing match in Las Vegas confirmed

Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal are not unknown names in combat sports anymore. The Thug lifestyle of both UFC ex-fighters has been idolized by many of the younger generation. Nate Diaz, in the lightweight division and Masvidal in the welterweight division, showed how bully-like they can be to a fighter.

Once these two UFC veterans got the chance to face each other in the UFC cage on the night of November 2, 2021, in New York City. At UFC 244, both Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal fought for the symbolic BMF title.

Nate Diaz is set to face Jorge Masvidal in Las Vegas

At UFC 244, the fight ended in an unexpected style when Masvidal’s damage pierced the skin of Nate Diaz’s face, leading to no clear vision. Thus, the fight resulted in a doctor stoppage, and Jorge became the first-ever BMF title wielder. The good news for the fans is that these two elite mixed martial artists will show up for the rematch this March, but in the bigger gloves of boxing.

Recently, Happy Punch made the announcement, “BREAKING: Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal boxing match confirmed 🤯 March in Las Vegas The UFC has given the green light, sources tell Happy Punch”, claiming the confirmed rematch between Diaz and Masvidal.

Earlier, Josh Thompson, an MMA expert and analyst, also made a big statement about Jorge’s comeback to the UFC cage. Josh said, “There’s just no way in any avenue I can see this fight coming to fruition. Whether the Gaethje fight or the Leon fight, not only because he’s coming off four losses, but on top of that, like I said, he’s—I feel like he’s scheduled to fight; if it doesn’t happen, it doesn’t happen, but from what I’m hearing, that fight’s supposed to happen February 28th against Nate Diaz.

“In a boxing match, if that fight happens, the UFC’s not going to bank on their main event or their co-main event against Leon Edwards against Jorge Masvidal, knowing that he fights two or three weeks before.”

Thompson also added that this fight will take place in the boxing ring, and the UFC would not want to ruin their co-main event and main event slot for them anymore.

Jake Paul made the matchup public a few weeks ago

Before this potential bout between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal was announced, Jake Paul posted the spoiler in his deleted tweet, making confirmation that these two would face each other in the boxing ring.

All this came after Jorge Masvidal tweeted “Unretired,” confirming his comeback, and Paul seemingly wanted to spoil the suspense of his return and revealed the plan that Jorge and Nate Diaz were looking for.

Since the rematch is now confirmed, what do you think Nate Diaz will do to secure the victory and bring the rivalry to an even point? Or will Jorge’s power in boxing gloves do a lot more damage than what it did at UFC 244? Share your thoughts with us below.
