Fans find parallel between Bayley and Batista through one WWE SmackDown segment

Bayley shocked the WWE Universe when she won her first Royal Rumble match on January 27 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. The battle royal winner is set to face former faction member and current title holder Iyo Sky in the WrestleMania 40 premium live event for the WWE Women’s Championship.

WWE fans recently found some similarities between Bayley and Batista, who were facing a parallel incident due to their respective factions. Bayley was made fun of by Damage CTRL members and Batista was downgraded by fellow Evolution faction members.

WWE recreates famous Batista moment in Bayley’s WWE SmackDown segment

Bayley is the leader of Damage CTRL, which consists of members like Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky, Kairi Sane, and Asuka. A short while ago, Bayley surprised fans in the February 2 episode of SmackDown Live after she chose Iyo Sky as her WrestleMania 40 opponent.

During the event, Bayley explained she could speak Japanese and could understand whenever her faction members said anything bad about her. The Role Model speaking their language was very shocking for the WWE Women’s Champion Iyo Sky and The Kabuki Warriors as they used to keep making fun of her in a foreign language whenever Bayley was with them.

WWE fans have connected Bayley’s incident to Batista, who faced the same situation back in the days when he was an Evolution member. Just like Bayley, Dave Bautista was made fun of by Triple H. And he, similar to The Role Model, listened to everything with prying eyes.

Fans are anticipating that Bayley might retaliate more against her former teammates. Although there are several weeks left for the ‘Show of Shows’, some fans are predicting that Iyo Sky and The Kabuki Warriors might attack her to sabotage her chance for the upcoming WrestleMania XL at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Bayley’s record at WrestleMania

Bayley is one of the most underappreciated wrestlers. She joined the Stamford-based company in 2012 and after four years, she made her main roster in a tag team match, where she teamed up with Sasha Banks and defeated Charlotte and Dana Brooke. Bayley has participated in WrestleMania multiple times and among the 5 matches she had in the biggest WWE event, she only won 2 and lost the other 3.

The 34-year-old WWE star’s first WrestleMania match was a Fatal 4-Way elimination match on WrestleMania 33, where she faced off against Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax, and Sasha Banks. Nia Jax was eliminated first after Charlotte, Sasha, and Bayley executed a triple powerbomb. The second person who was eliminated was Banks, as Flair used an exposed turnbuckle to stun her and later pin her. In the final clash between Charlotte and Bayley, Flair got injured in the same turnbuckle and Bayley pinned her to get her first WrestleMania victory.

Bayley’s second WrestleMania victory came when she faced Lacey Evans, Sasha Banks, Tamina, and Naomi for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship in a Fatal-5-Way elimination match on WrestleMania 36. Bayley eliminated Lacey Evans at the end to get her second WrestleMania win.
