Lewis Hamilton’s difficulty in adjusting to new car draws criticism from David Coulthard

Lewis Hamilton has recently dropped shocking news for Mercedes with his decision to part ways with the team at the start of the 2025 season. The British driver has taken a huge leap in his daily lifestyle in the hope of securing his eighth title in the near future with the Italian-based squad, which has some of the strongest team coordination on the grid.

However, despite the 39-year-old’s consistent optimism and struggles, he has been unable to clinch his dominance back from Max Verstappen over the past few years, which has visibly dropped his market value among Formula One individuals.

David Coulthard, a living legend of Formula One, has recently expressed his disappointment with Hamilton’s consistent underperformance, highlighting similarities between George Russell, who has overcome the hurdles faced in the new W15 from the start of this campaign.

David said, “He [Lewis Hamilton] hasn’t adapted to the new car yet. You can see how George Russell is gradually honing the times on the lade, while it is evident how Lewis is in trouble.”
