Demetrious Johnson backs Andrew Tate in Jake Paul comparison, criticizing Problem Child for “hand-picking the pizza boys in boxing”

In the world of professional boxing, crossover boxing sensation Jake Paul is creating waves. His recent first-round victory against Andre August showcased his ambitions in the boxing world. Now, Paul is looking to face his next opponent in boxing in early 2024. Moreover, he is also partnered with the US Olympic boxing team for Paris 2024.

Paul, who primarily faced MMA veterans in the boxing ring, is now shifting his focus towards competing against lesser-known professional boxers in the field. Now, former UFC champion and One Championship flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson has words to say about Jake Paul as a professional boxer.

Demetrious Johnson backs Andrew Tate in Jake Paul comparison

Jake Paul’s meteoric rise from social media star to professional boxer has turned heads and sparked controversy. After racking up an impressive 6-3 record, primarily against past-their-prime MMA fighters, critics accuse him of cherry-picking opponents to pad his wins. Despite the whispers, fight fans remain hungry for a showdown between Paul and Andrew Tate, the enigmatic ex-kickboxer and influencer known for his provocative “Red Pill” views.

In a recent interview, Tate, alongside his brother Tristan, confidently declared their ability to “demolish” the Paul brothers, adding fuel to the already fiery public debate. With both sides boasting and tensions rising, a Paul vs. Tate showdown can be the next heavyweight spectacle in the combat sports world.

In a recent ImPaulsive podcast with Jake Paul as a guest, the Paul brothers turned the tables on the Tates, dismissing them as easy prey for the American YouTubers. This fiery counterpunch followed criticisms from the Tates, who had previously labelled the Pauls as unproven fighters. Now, adding fuel to the fire, former UFC and One Championship flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson has weighed in with his own take on the potential clash.

“Andrew Tate has won World Championships in Kickboxing, fought the baddest of the baddest”, said Johnson praising the accomplishment of the older Tate brother. “Jake Paul is handpicking Pizza boys in boxing. There’s a huge difference”, Johnson further added bashing Paul for his choice of opponents. With the statements, Johnson predicts an easy victory for Tate against Paul.

Demetrious Johnson claims KSI is better than Jake Paul in Boxing

Demetrious Johnson, the arguable GOAT of MMA, is a man of many talents. In addition to his fighting acumen, he is also one of the best analysts in the sport. Johnson’s video of mimicking popular MMA fighters went viral on social media. Now, ‘Might Mous’ analyzed and found out that YouTuber KSI is a better boxer than Jake Paul.

Paul and KSI have each endured a single defeat in their professional boxing journeys, both at the hands of Tommy Fury, who coincidentally is the younger half-brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. Paul was the initial challenger to face Fury and, regrettably, narrowly lost the closely contested match by decision. Fury and KSI were the highlights of the recent MF & DAZN: X Series 10 – The Prime Card event. Fury emerged as the winner in a fight that concluded with a disputed decision, prompting KSI to appeal the outcome, but unfortunately, his appeal was unsuccessful.

However, Paul congratulated Fury for the victory, even though they are bitter rivals. On the other hand, KSI continued his social media tirade on Fury and even alluded to problems between Fury and his wife Molly Mae-Hague. Nevertheless, Demetrious Johnson believes that KSI is a better boxer than Paul, mainly due to Jake Paul’s opponents in boxing.

Johnson believes that Paul’s latest opponent Andre August is the only real competitor that he faced. Moreover, he thinks that Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva, and Tyron Woodley were not that good at boxing. Nevertheless, Paul dismantled August more quickly than the other fighters and thereby contradicted Johnson’s assessment of ‘The Problem Child’.
